  • Banning the Eyebrow
     OP - April 15, 2010, 08:28 AM

There is much talk about banning the niqqab/burka in public in France (and banning the beard here at COEM) and I wonder; would it be therefore logical to ban the Eyebrow? When I talk about the eyebrow I refer to the big salafi dandruf catching variety given its outward expression of religiosity that comes with it? Cheesy

Yeah definitely. Should be punishable by life imprisonment. I'd advocate the death penalty but we're all sophisticated and new-agey here.

I for one 100% support it; along with punishment for overweight women who wear lycra tights as pants.

I think we need to formalise our Sharia to ensure that it is consistently enforced; will there be a sliding scale from death penalty to public floggings or just the death penalty on site?

I think we need to get away from the stultifying boredom of dogmatic sharia and introduce a bit of fun and excitement. I propose inventing random horrible punishments and just picking them out of a hat. Or we could use the old wheel of fortune. That tends to televise better. Smiley

What about burning at the stake?  That went out of fashion for some reason, I think we should stage a revival.

A fitting punishment for all those men with HUGE, hairy unibrows:  Force them to have them threaded!  grin12

    Ban unibrows.

Sorry, but I'm a closet fan of the full caterpillar myself. I'm riveted to the sight of two eyeballs moving back and forth beneath one undulating agent of body language for some reason.

I used to have a unibrow. Now I pick it with a pair of tweezers. Of course my Iraqi macho-wannabe friends tell me its girly and stuff. I don't care, I don't wanna be ugly !

To those I ask; what is wrong with preening oneself? all other animals preen oneself to win the opposite sex - why is it suddenly different for humans?

My cousins husband ( my jijaji) has a unibrow.  It makes me so upset...but then I see those guys who have really great eyebrows...actually they're better than mine!  That make me equally upset.

Does any one know what is actually the function of the eyebrow? The eye lashes protects the eye from dust and sand and insects, but WTF does the eyebrow do?

When you sweat, it stops it from getting into your eyes.

I didn't know that. When I go on cardio in the gym, sometimes the sweat drops to my eyes, even though I have eyebrows!!
