  • Banning the beard
     OP - April 14, 2010, 01:52 AM

There is much talk about banning the niqqab/burka in public in France and I wonder; would it be therefore logical to ban the beard. What I talk about the beard I refer to the big salafi food catching variety given its outward expression of religiosity that comes with it? Cheesy

Hmm, I don't think thats right. I mean if one wants to grow a beard, whether short or long, let em lol. Besides, there are non Muslim Frenchies who have beards as well. Me, I hate being clean shaven, I like a bit of stubble/scruff Smiley

They should ban the dirty pubic hair looking beards like zakir naiks bush on face.

If one can't grow a thick beard, they shouldn't grow it IMO. They can if they want, but whats the point if it looks like scraggly pubes? Like I admit, mine is very sparse, but thats why I only keep a stubble. If I let mine grow, it would look 5 times worse than Zakir Naik's "beard" Cheesy

Yeah, I've seen that - the law should be, "If you can't grow a luscious beard of exquisite volume then you're not allowed to grow one at all". I see South East Asian guys wondering around with remnant of bum fluff on their upper lip thinking it is a moustache when it looks more like a bad Indian 1970s gay porn star, patchy Zakir Naik beards when in reality they should just throw in the towel and give up whilst they're ahead.

Btw, here is the perfect specimen of what a beard should look like:

Big, bushy and manly - like a beard is meant to look like.

Thats an awesome beard. Like my facial hair is so small, sparse and patchy it makes me feel less masculine at times, especially when I was a Muslim. Everyone would have huge and manly beards and I had an orange piece of shit on my chin.

Grow a Irishman beard Kaiwai Afro

Yeah, problem with me is that I'm not very hairy so in my case I can go without shaving for a week without too many problems Tongue

Again, read the fucking post; the post was attacking Zakir Naik's beard (it was Cool Canadian who raised it thus it seems the only person who could fucking follow the conversation in a logical fashion) and then I used the picture to show what a proper beard looks like. That is all there is in the conversation - we aren't talking about an Islamic beard, we're talking about Zakir Naik's crap patchy beard.

    This beard is fucking crazy!

I have seen some East Asians trying to sport some and it ticks me off. One guy I saw on the GO train had 3 hairs coming out of his cheek and they were atleast 6 inches long. I mean what the fuck? Shave that off.

I thought that was against the sharia having a beard longer than one fist full of whiskers; IIRC aren't you meant to grab a fist of whiskers and then cut off below, then trim the moustache?

Niiiiice.... Let me assure you the that you don't have to worry about Islamic beards (Zakir or others) as all the hardcore Muslims I know and seen, have a similar one to the perfect beard example you provided.

Only few will have a crazy ZZ-Topish beards, and usually they turn up to be eccentric weirdos and not Muslims.

And mr KY, you OP did not mention any Zakirs so stop twisting your posts and admit you wanted to ban a food catching beards and in the same time you provided an image of a perfect (food catching) beard. Was that ok because he is a pop star?  wacko

What gets me is blokes who have their moustache hanging over their upper lip. I can't stand that. My theory is that if I can't eat a hamburger without getting hair in my gob it's time for a trim.

If anything, thats one thing Islam gets right, is to trim the stache.

Didn't Umar Ibn Al Khattab have a stache so long that it went in his mouth and you couldn't see his lips?
