You know what, ive been waiting fo someone to raise why i always ask the same question.  Surprised it took this long !

I think its interesting and also informative and useful to know how people found out about the site. Businesses interested in growth spend millions on doing customer research.  Here we can do it by typing a few characters.  So if you want me to stop repeating the same question, someone else should beat me to it  Tongue

Site statistics generally tell you that without needing to spend a thing Tongue Although it is not as informative as real answers.

    We love Allat alot Wink

Welcome thinkfree, I'd be interested in hearing more about your story, your doubts, how you and your wife worked it out, how you withdrew from the muslim community.

    peace Smiley

So many replies! Thanks for the welcome, everyone.  thnkyu

Did you know that your lady has been here for a while? Smiley

Really? *opens random online fiqh database in another window and searches for the term: "+wife +disobedient +punishment"*  Wink
In fact Pariah is the one who told me about CEM, which is why I'm here!

    ... & where you're from?

I'm a Londoner, born and bred.

Unfortuantely for me, I realized that once I had come to the conclusion that Islam was NOT the truth it pretty much spelt the end of my marriage to my lovely, but VERY Muslim husband.  I just couldn't keep up the pretense anymore myself.

Sorry to hear that. I hope that with freedom you'll also find happiness in the future.

... I'd be interested in hearing more about your story, your doubts, how you and your wife worked it out, how you withdrew from the muslim community.

I'll come back to expand on these as a way of adding a little more colour to my story. I didn't realise people would be so interested. Smiley

Yes, I'm here too. Smiley  I was born and bred muslim unlike thinkfree.

Glad we both got out of it sooner rather than later!

Where've you been Pariah! You two share such a strong thing in common, not only have been muslims, but now see it for the BS it is!

You are our second internet couple, but whatever you do, dont start squabbling online Wink

Do you still wear the hijab at your parents house?

I've been around, guess I browse more than I post. Smiley  Yes, we're very fortunate to have each for encouragement and support.

Good to hear there are more couples like us, hopefully this will be a growing trend.

Unfortunately I still wear hijab when I go to visit my parents. :( It feels awful but I'm just too afraid of hurting them.

That's what I love about this forum - there are so many others who can relate to what you are going through because they have either been through it or are going through it themselves.

That's what makes this place unique  Afro
