    is their a reason date and time have gone from the shoutbox?  I guess its to avoid clutter.  If so, how about just incuding the time, just helps me to establish if the topic is currently live, or not.

    Yes I recoded the shoutbox so it would be good for the mobile theme as well, which means I was trying to reduce clutter to a minimum. It's not possible to make the coding
    theme-dependent without a lot of work, because all themes call the same source code from the portal. I would rather not have to do that at the moment as there are other priorities.

    What I do is this: if the last shout is from somebody who is still online or is still listed in the "active in the last 15 minutes" at the bottom of the main page then yep, the shout is most likely current or close to it. Otherwise, maybe not.

    No it wasn't me. Aziz removed it because he had a headache and the red text against the background of the theme he is using was frazzling his eyeballs. I'm going to bring it back but use each theme's css to sort it so that it doesn't give him nightmares.
