So there was news recently from Dawn  that  said
    Quote
    Dr Salam honoured

IT took 37 long years, but a historic wrong is finally on course to being set right.
    Quote
On Monday, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif announced he had given his approval to rename the National Centre for Physics at Islamabad’s Quaid-e-Azam University after Dr Abdus Salam, who in 1979 became Pakistan’s first ever Nobel laureate by winning the prestigious international award in the physics category

    .

The premier also approved a grant of five annual fellowships in Dr Salam’s name at overseas universities for Pakistani doctoral candidates in physics.

That it has taken nearly four decades for this country to honour a globally renowned scientist who was one of its own, is a sad reflection of the priorities that hold sway here, and that have diminished our standing in the world.

For Dr Salam was an Ahmadi, a persecuted minority in Pakistan, and his faith rather than his towering achievements was the yardstick by which he was judged.

    ....................

    Bam...

that is there website with a baboon  heading it  comes up in to the news with this

    Quote

CII decries naming QAU physics centre after Dr Abdus Salam

Chairing the last session as the head of Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) on Thursday, Maulana Mohammad Khan Sherani decried the proposal to rename the Quaid-i-Azam University's (QAU) physics centre after Professor Abdus Salam.

The council discussed the proposal after Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif forwarded a summary to President Mamnoon Hussain of his approval to rename the National Centre for Physics at QAU the “Professor Abdus Salam Centre for Physics”.

Addressing a press conference after the council's meeting, the CII chairman said changing the department's name would not set the right precedent.

“We have concerns over the change of its [physics centre's] name as it was earlier named to honour Dr Riaz,” said Sherani, but declined to offer any reason for the opposition.

He was also asked if the CII had objections over renaming of other institutions or roads but Sherani declined to offer any comment over the subject...

that is what that Bearded baboon says  on renaming a building to honor the only Physics Noble Laureate   Prof.  Abdus Salam  just because he was Ahmadi Muslim ..  Ship  all these baboons from Pakistan to  that sand land..Let them eat sand and roam in hot sand until they burn their ass

Have Bangladeshis overtaken Pakistanis in Britain?  asks MURTAZA HAIDER

    Quote
At home and in diaspora, Bangladeshis are leaving Pakistanis behind in human development and prosperity.

Recent research from Britain revealed that children born to Bangladeshi parents achieve higher grades than those born to Pakistani parents. Furthermore, the average household income of Bangladeshis in Britain is now higher than that of Pakistanis.

In a short span of four decades, Bangladeshis have not only caught up to Pakistan in development and prosperity (both at home and in diaspora), they are also likely to achieve greater prosperity in the future than Pakistanis are.

Pakistan’s development professionals and political leadership need to acknowledge that the nation is now losing out to countries it once dominated in human development.

Four decades earlier, many African and Asian countries lagged behind Pakistan in socio-economic indicators of development. While Pakistan has been embracing religiously-inspired militancy and conservatism since the mid-70s, others pursued liberal policies for higher education and free market economy.........

well that and more from Mutaz Haider   at that link .,  Mutaz   should also know  why this happened  to people of Pakistan...

Hafiz Saeed detained by Pakistani authorities.

This is a very interesting development.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-38803746

    Quote

Pakistan has ordered the detention of a firebrand cleric linked to the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks which killed 166 people.
Hafiz Saeed - who led the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militant group and has a $10m (£5.8m) US bounty on his head - is under house arrest in Lahore.

A senior Pakistani defence ministry official told Reuters that Islamabad had not heard anything from President Trump's administration, but had been feeling US pressure over the terror suspect.
"Trump is taking hard decisions against Muslim countries, there is open talk of actions against Pakistan also. So yes, this was a consideration," said the official.

The article states it could be due to US pressure but that makes little sense. The US still needs Pakistan's help in Afghanistan and I don't Trump coming can change the dynamics so fast. There must be more to it. Could be an excuse to bring him in, as he does have a lot of support. Maybe the Pakistani state is taking a different position on supporting terrorist? More likely related to the conflicts with India.

That is  Aamir Zaki  Of Pakistan ..  RIP  my friend.....

    Quote
Ace guitarist Aamir Zaki passes away at 49

Born in Saudi Arabia in 1968, Zaki started playing the guitar at age 14. He was first discovered by musician Alamgir when he was aged 16. Zaki toured extensively with Alamgir, playing a 'Flying V' guitar that he built himself. Zaki was known to make his own guitars through his career.

Zaki also toured with Vital Signs, before being asked to leave the band.

He then launched into a solo career.

Aamir Zaki's debut album, Signature, was released in 1994 and it became quite a hit. He was awarded a Soundcraft Gold Disc for the album, which carried the mega-hit 'Mera Pyaar'.

The elusive Zaki spent much of his career collaborating with other musicians.
