    "Hijab Protects Women"

Disclaimer: This is not porn, it's a video shot on a mobile phone showing some Arab guys harassing hijabi girls in the street; the video however is hosted on a porn website, therefore kids, do not click on other links if you are offended by such stuff.

Sorry it's not an article it's a video. And the server at your work blocks it for a very good reason - the rest of the site is basically a collection of really sick porn.

Kenan, you may want to mention that it's a porn site in your OP.

That's not exactly porn though, it's attempted rape.

The video itself has got nothing to do with porn; but it is hosted on a porn website.

Do you still think I should add a disclaimer?

This is not porn, it's a video shot on a mobile phone showing some Arab guys harassing hijabi girls in the street. Basically it's a refutation of the old argument that hijab protects women.

It's just the fact that's a porn website, we don't want anyone getting into trouble at work.

I thought that was what everyone did at work.

I can't watch the video, obviously, but that's nothing new. I love how the ikhoua will avert their eyes and mutter astaghfirullah when walking past women like me, but they do not give hijabis any rest.

It's not really a refutation of the claim that it protects women. I'm sure the claim is that it protects women better. I see more uncovered women getting groped than I do women in hijaab.

    Really?  I don't.

Maybe in the uk, but in morocco the groping is nasty, vile and everywhere.  A man rubbed himself all over my aunty on a packed bus, using every bump in the road as an excuse to grind into her, and she was covered, but he still shot his load all over the back of her jilab.

I would get groped just going to the market for eggs in the morning.  In the end I chose to take a chaperone everywhere with me because it's the only safe option really.  Hijab doesn't stop them over there.

In the uk I have never ever been groped walking to the shop, ever.  And believe me, I don't exactly cover up in the summer, it's all shorts and miniskirts.

Maybe in a club someone will try to grope you, but even then they know they can get in trouble for it somehow, either with a slap or being booted out the club.   But just walking down the street?  nope.

Inhale the good shit, exhale the bullshit.

Even a chaperone may not be enough.

A Danish actress told in a TV program that she was groped walking down a street in Pakistan with her father and she was modestly dressed too, at least by European standards.

She whirled around and slapped the groper - good on her.

Once (during Ramadan, too) some guy grabbed one of my breasts in the street (which was crowded). I grabbed the hand and hit it with my other hand, but I'm sure he didn't feel much. I felt so silly afterward, but yeah, there isn't much else I could have done.

Yeah, I only see it occasionaly in clubs, that's what I meant. But that's more than the zero times I've seen a hijabi get groped. And yeah that's only in the uk.

Wait, some random guy orgasmed all over your aunt's back? On a bus? You gotta be kiddin' me.. could everyone tell what he had done or was it only until afterwards did you notice a giant stain on her back?  wacko

I thinnk the chaperone matters, no one would have risked trying to grope me if my uncles from my father's side were the chaperones.  I tried one of my step mums brothers as a chaperone, but ended up getting into a fight myself because they were so puny and unable to defend me when some guy tried to grope me another time.

Another cousin of mine, paternal side came from nowhere and smashed a rake into the mans face who had was trying to pin me against a wall, infront of the puny uncles.  finmad  Pretty scary actually, I was 17 at the time.

yes  Same as, 13, on the way to the market, before I learned to take a chaperone everywhere.  Then in apology he started trying to touch me everywhere else, saying sorry each time.

No idea if anyone else knew,  we just knew when we got off the bus and saw it on her back, and she connected the sick and twisted dots.

Nope. I just busted a load, ahh *rests hands behind neck*.

I get turned on by reading sexual harassment lawsuits. I imagine them being read out by a sexy secretary.
