    I appreciate the forum's general rules and I think the moderators have the right to close some threads. However I don't see a reason to lock these 2 topics:

    Sure, they could've dragged on for ages but it's not a good reason in my humble opinion.

    Both of those were locked because they turned into slanging matches, not because they would have dragged on.  A thread can drag on forever without being locked for all we care, as long as you're not all at each other's throats.  Locking the thread is a way to let everyone cool down, and its not necessarily permanent.

    Look, I know the incest thread was getting tediously repetitive but there wasn't any offensive remarks. I think we should agree to disagree.
