    Fuck no. I wouldn't give two shits about that.

    Objectionable in the sense that I don't like people promoting religion.  Personally, if it is a good scope I couldn't give shit if had verses praising Xenu on it either

    It is funny, because I've had an acog for years (personal one) and never noticed, because it is something you would  need to look for and know that the letter number combo at the end of the stock number meant. I'd be willing to bet pretty much everyone who has one did not notice that till now...

    Interesting thing is these aren't made just for the military, but also other nations and police use them  (because they are really good), I'd bet there is a mujihadeen looking though one right now somewhere.

    On a side note, I never understood born again christians who were into this stuff...doesn't their jesus tell them to go live in a cave and not play with swords or something

    "I come not to bring peace to the world but an M4"-- Jesus.

    And, yeah, most people wouldn't notice the SNs, Trijicon has been doing this since the early 90s at least, and no one noticed before, but it's out there now.

    Of course-- if ACOGs were considerably cheaper, I'd still consider mounting one on my M4, Jesus stuff on the SN and all. But I still think the US military should've either demanded this stuff be removed by the company as soon as they knew about it or removed it themselves. Not only does it violate our Constitutional prohibition on mxing church and state, but it undermines the particular war efforts underway now that it's public knowledge. Kinda hard to deny the enemy's claims you're a Crusader when your equipment has Christian messages on it.

    fuck you

    Honestly, the inscriptions are really a non-issue. This is more of an issue of Secular Liberals vs Evangelical Christians thrashing it out. I doubt this will make Islamist terrorists or guerillas any more dangerous.

    What I find kind of scary are not the tiny inscriptions, but the response of Trijicon to the issue. They seem to be run by complete nutters.

    @iblis,

    Ya, at first I didn't give a s@*t, not like there were actual verses inscribed on the side or something, as opposed to a divinvi code~ish stuff hidden in a stock number, but after visiting their site and hearing their response, I say f'em.

    Still a good scope though....man, I'm so conflicted

    If it's a good product its a good product. Period. I could care less if their employees were eating babies at lunch break. I just find the people running that joint to be complete psychos.

    The Australia forces use these scopes too and are rather pissed about this. They are going to be removing the bible references from all their scopes asap. This is going to be a pain in the arse and cost quite a bit of money, which may well influence things when the supply contract comes up for renewal (quite apart from the company being run by complete nutters).

    I am my own worst enemy and best friend, itsa bit of a squeeze in a three-quarter bed, tho. Unhinged!? If I was a dog I would be having kittens, that is unhinged. Footloose n fancy free, forced to fit, fated to fly. One or 2 words, 3 and 3/thirds, looking comely but lonely, till I made them homely.D
