    yeah, but unlike Muhammad, Genghis Khan actually fought in his battles Smiley

    There is always this quotation from Attila the Hun: "Superficial goals lead to superficial results."

    Not defending Mo or anything, but he actually DID fight in battles.

    If by dirty work you mean his assassinations of the innocent, that is not really 'battle'.

    In my Islamic Education classes, Sirah section, we studied there are 2 types of battles 'Ghazwah' and 'Sariyyah'
    The former being the type ofs battle where the prophet participated in himself. The latter where he just called for it and sent another person of his companion to take the lead.

    lol. Apparently the empire Genghis Khan built was 4 times the size of Alexander the Great. Wacthed a documentary on him ages ago.

    Despite the supposed quotes (I'm a little suspicious of their authenticity) about God and Heaven, Genghis Khan presided tolerantly over a religiously diverse empire. I've seen no evidence that Genghis Khan attempted to have large parts of his empire convert to his shamanistic, pagan religion, nor am I aware that he engaged in wholesale persecution against any religion.

    Unlike Mohammed, Genghis Khan didn't give a fuck about establishing/spreading a lasting ideology-- he was just all about kicking ass and taking names.

    Genghis Khan's only purpose and drive was world conquest and killing lots and lots and lots of people. Period. He could give a rat's ass about how many times you put your forehead on the ground or what you believed.

    Say what you want about Muhammad's ethics, but he did indeed fight his battles and was always on the front lines with his men. As a historical warlord, Muhammad was actually quite a respectable guy. Not so much as an ethical teacher though.

    Ye Muhammad as a military commander was good but Genghis Khan made his name legendary by conquering nations.
