Some notes if your are trying to hide web surfing habits:
- If you use a router, you might want to check if there are logs make to websites visited
- If you are connected via wireless, you need to be aware that someone on the same wifi network can detect your web surfing via packet sniffing software such as (Wireshark)
- If you are signed into a Google account, this can be checked for internet history using
http://www.google.com/history/- and finally, if someone works at Google or for your ISP, they can track your web habits (though I think this is illegal without your consent in the UK, but I suppose a rogue can do it)
Therefore, I advise to beat your enemy, know your enemy first ...
Also, tip: one can privately browse using incognito mode available on
the Chrome browser. Can be done on other browsers too.
