Guy's we have Bollywood songs for those of us who were exposed to all that. I'll start here with 80's tracks.

I know I was only 5 by the end of the 80s, but I thought I would contribute with a classic 80s tune:

Religion - The hot potato that looked delicious but ended up burning your mouth!

Knock your head on the ground, don't be miserly in your prayers, listen to your Sidi Sheikh, Allahu Akbar! - Lounes Matoub

Was this moonwalk before MJs, as I always thought he was accredited for inventing it? Must admit this guy does it better!

Yep this was before. If you remember Billy Jean was 1983 and it was performed by MJ on stage live in 1983. This was at least a good year before MJ.

Then how come MJ took all the credit for the moonwalk - did he accept he didnt invent it?

I think there is an interview with this guy regarding the moonwalk. He taught MJ.

I remember seeing that on Top of the Pops when it was originally on. MJ's subsequent moonwalk was pretty weak in comparison.

    Look not above, there is no answer there;
    Pray not, for no one listens to your prayer;
Near is as near to God as any Far,
And Here is just the same deceit as There.

That was not the first moonwalk! Not by a mile! The first recorded moonwalk was Bill Bailey in 1955. It might have been done before that aswell.

Here's one from my own hometown's one hit wonder '80s group:

    Atheism is a non-prophet organization.

The sleeper has awakened -  Dune

Give a man a fish, and you'll feed him for a day Give him a religion, and he'll starve to death while praying for a fish!

God this song makes me cry, because I want to be forever young but that is so not happening!  Also because the clothes and hair are so hideous, I weep.  I weep for the 80s.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7CuJ8cR9sg

I know this is a cheap, cheezy song, but I still like it.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_r0n9Dv6XnY&feature=related

    This song is the shit.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4yTIpcwBTTs

This song makes me want to wear only black and white clothes with a pair of checkered braces and lace up Docs and put tons of black eyeliner on.   :'(  O lost youth!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-uyWAe0NhQ

    This one too...

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSTHMxBttlU

    And the Specials

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HjONGEeOSyQ

I still listen to this one a lot.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVcD1xAMTo8

I love this song.  I listen to it so often and so loudly that one day I walked in the sitting room and my husband was singing it under his breath as he was playing cards.  Yes. That is the way it ought to be.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mMkyZAZNuHA

This is probably my favourite R&B song of the 80s.

This song too.  I love the old school matching suits and the dancing.  Smooth, debonair.

This was the first song I learned to play on the guitar.

This is the last one. I have work to do.  But I loved this song.

Indeed it is. The music is ace and so are the lyrics. Shame Ian Curtis took his own life.

Afro  I just want to post things from the 80s.  I like the originals though.

Also, how come sometimes if you post Youtube links it gives you the video and sometimes it just gives you a link?  Aliadere, one of the links was to the same thing twice. And odd, in the window where you go to post a reply, the embedded video shows up.

(oi, i am having problems with the smilies)
