I agree with Muddy. Homosexuality happens in the wild among many species, especially the ones closely related to us, so therefore its a naturally occuring phenomenom, and to say otherwise is indeed stupid.

There are a lot of things that can be added to the list. For example left handedness is also as natural as right handedness. Although Mohammad related it to all kinds of nasty stuff too..

Well of course it's natural, what else could it be, supernatural? If you mean it's not genetic... sorry to disappoint. Genetics do have a role in HS, though of course there is no 'gay' gene, just as there is no 'tall' gene.

This is an old quote from the newspaper here, back when we had an issue with integration (the whole "multiculturalism" debate and whatnot). Anyway, I do like it because I do think Islam is perhaps one of the (if not, the main reason) why certain Middle Eastern and North African countries seem to be being dragged back in time...

You can’t hide ignorance and hatred behind ‘faith’ and think you’re going to get away with it just because you cry about people attacking your ‘beliefs’.

It's incredibly ironic. If someone has a bigoted view then we rightly condemn them, but the minute someone says this is their religious beliefs, this is their faith, this is what is important to them, we imbue their bigotry with some sort of special right, that it must be excempt from criticism because criticizing their intolerance would be hurting their feelings.
