    Hello

    I am Swedish and go by the name Stefan.

    I found your community via Hassan's channel on youtube. Thank you Hassan!

    I am not myself a muslim but hope I can hang around here all the same. You guys
    have the ability to discuss islam from a critical stand point AND you know what you
    are talking about, which is a nice change from some of the debate out there.

    I work with a few very nice people of your religion, and have travelled a bit in the area
    encountering both fantastic kindness and religious fanatics who when they found me to
    be Christian never ceased to try to convert me.  The contrasts made me read a bit from
    the Qur'an (still not through it though...) to find what was the base of what I was seeing.
    I have gone from being very positive to a bit more hesitant to some aspects of the religion,
    mainly the way it relates to other religions and to basic freedoms like the right to not have
    a religion and the right to free speech, being able to criticise a religion.

    I hope to get a better understanding of different aspects of Islam from the discussions here.
