    I have recently started making a note of things like "Subscribers" - "Views" etc... and the thing that really shocks me is that idiots get absolutely insane number of subs and views - that guy Converted2Islam for example has about 8,000 Subscribers - WTF? Some idiots get about 10,000 views in a day!???

    It just made me a bit pissed off since I put a great deal of thought and effort into my videos and I have about 745 Subscribers (which is good - but compared to some - it's nothing).

    Anyhoooo I thought I would make an effort to raise my profile.

    I posted this on Richard Dawkins forum.

    If you can help by posting links to my Channel elsewhere I would be grateful - thanks  Afro

    I make videos critiquing religion - and Islam in particular!

    I am making an effort to make my videos more visible so I can get my message across better. I think you will agree that there is far too much religious bullshit out there that gets a crazy number of views - yet the sane and more rational channels really don't get half as much as they should.

    If you know my channel and like the videos - then please support it by subscribing.

    If you don't know it, then please take a quick look - if you like it, then again I urge you to Subscribe.

    The more subscribers, views and reps I get - the more visible they will be.

    Hass- don't doubt yourself, yours is my favourite channel on all of youtube.

    Maybe the "idiots" get more subscribers because their viewers don't have to think as deeply, considering uncomfortable questions they'd rather not be asked. ?

    I will tell friends who I think will be interested in your channel who I haven't yet told.

    I think awais is correct. Ranters will attract more attention. It's kinda like the difference between this site and some other sites. We keep a lid on lunacy so we end up with less traffic. Also, because we don't play favourites with any religion we're cutting our traffic again. Then there's the fact that Muslims cannot rely on bagging other religions to get themselves off the hook here, which I think makes them prefer to argue on other sites where they feel they can pull this trick. Hey ho.

    Hassan, although I have my own channel, I actually prefer to watch your videos over my own. If you haven't noticed, I try to model my own videos after yours, mainly because we think a lot alike and share the same views. Don't worry mate, as Awais and Oz said, there are only so many people out there willing to listen. People do hear you talk.

    I have an idea though, at the end of this month I'm launching a "debunk Islam" series where the target audience are Muslim teens. I'll share more details with you about it if you're interested in doing a co-up.

    Keep up the good work so far friend. I'll promote your videos on my channel as well.  Afro

    You could try titling your videos in a way that will attract the largest numbers of viewers (use common keywords for example and attention grabbing titles)

    Excellent point, a bit like google/ebay - using actively searched words such as "Prophet Muhammed", "Islam", "Muslim" , "Quran" & "Allah" in all your videos will massively increase your hits.

    There are 3 main cliques on Youtube. Christians, Muslims and Atheists. In a way I fall outside all of them - though am obviously closer to the Atheists.

    The Muslims generally hate me.

    The Christians also mostly don't like me - but are quite happy to use particular videos for their own ends.

    Many of the Atheists like and respect my videos. But I do get a sense that I've not been admitted to their 'club'. Maybe because I have said that I do believe in 'something' and swing between Agnostic and Deist. But whereas other channels have been given shout outs or been included on 'the Best of Atheism (including many who are not atheists - and including channels that frankly are not that good) - I have never had a mention or shout out etc... (Though Pat Condel - bless him - always favourites my vids - cheers mate  Afro)

    So yeah - I feel I'm a bit of an outsider hated by many Muslims, disliked and distrusted by the Christians and not fully accepted by the Atheists.

    It's probably because you don't have an "in your face" style, whereas a lot of the atheist channels that get shouts do.

    K Hass here's how you do it. Grow your hair long and peroxide it, get a cute accent,  then play Rage Against the Machine at the end of each vid.  bunny

    Maybe - but I would have hoped channels like FFreeThinker that give loads of mentions to other channels that criticise religion (and some not very well) could have mentioned me at least once! Same with a few other channels that have given shout-outs etc...

    Maybe I'm still treated as a newb - but I do get the feeling I've not been totally let into the club.

    btw Oz that last post of mine was in reply to your post a couple of posts away. It was the last post when I started writing it - but when I finally posted it became adrift from your post by two posts.

    Am I the only one that is really pissed off that you took the quote button away and cannot see the benefit of doing that?
