One of those add-ons is a bit buggy, no idea which one though.

I don't like tabs on top myself. I use them more than the menu so I like them under it. Also I auto hide the Windows toolbar for extra space.

I just don't like looking at the toolbar when it's not in use. I doesn't match my classy Persona. Tongue

My uni computers have pretty awesome resolutions, it's hard switching back to my laptop when I'm used to looking at 2 pages at a time on Word. On here I can only view half a page :( It feels so claustrophobic now.

I actually had a 1920x1200 but I prefer the 1680x1050. The viewing angles just suit my setup better and I don't really need the extra space.

The 1920 was a BenQ and the colour reproduction on it was shit. That was the other reason I took it back.

    24" and 22"?

No. 22" for the 1920 and 20" for the 1680.

Os, I don't think there's a bug in my add-ons. I think it's down to one of your updates. When I load a page it goes black for a split second and then moves to the latest unread post. Sometimes it goes black twice.

On Chrome it loads, and then it moves to the latest unread post.

    Will do more tests.

I'd have to agree with those who prefer slightly higher resolution displays. All my systems have native 1920x1200 heads: htpc, work laptop and home laptop. Although, at work I use two 1920x1200 24" panels for a spanned desktop.

On the original topic of FF add-ons, I'd like to suggest FoxyProxy. I use it at work to proxify my "personal" browsing through a socks proxy (dynamic port forwarding SSH tunnel), including DNS lookups. You can set up URL whitelists / blacklists to decide which tunnel to use seamlessly. Keeps the IT nazis off my back.

By the way, if anyone hasn't tried it yet the new Firefox 4 beta rocks. Very fast and smooth with some nifty new features. Some add-ons still wont work with it, but some of the ones that say they wont work with it still do. Unfortunately most web dev add-ons seem to be incompatible at the moment but some of the cool stuff like Speed Dial is still good to go.  Afro

TabRenamizer is useful for masking your open tabs when there are nosey people around looking over your shoulder. ie. You can rewrite words such as "ex-Muslim" or "Atheist" to something like "My little pony", or every title for a particular domain.

Have they moved on to webkit yet? Or is that their plan for the future?

Eh wot? They aren't touching Webkit with a barge pole as far as I know.

Just did a google, this seems to be their plan: http://lifehacker.com/5489106/firefoxs-next-javascript-engine-will-borrow-from-webkit
Their just using some source-code from webkit.

That makes more sense. Couldn't see them swapping the whole engine over. Webkit has good js performance.

Sorry. Missed this before. I must admit I've never tried using the shortcuts before. I always just click the post button.

Having tried it though, Alt+s just seems to bring up the History on Firefox. Which is something I didn't know before (not having tried it and all).

Anyway, click the button. It works.
