    Yes it is a classic. It's a philosophical tale with some amazing acting and dark comedy. Definitely highly recommended.

    But it's not to everyone's taste, IsLame.

    Personally I find it very uplifting - though others find it morbid. It is about a boy/young man who is fed-up with life and keeps feigning dramatic suicide attempts. He also enjoys visiting funerals and thats where he meets maude - she also likes visiting funerals but for different reasons to him. She was in a Nazi concentration camp and lives every day as if it is her last. She sees beauty, and joy in everything. She teaches him to do so also - he falls in love with her. She is in her 80s or 90s I think and he is in his late teens (?) they sleep together (shocking for the time - even now) and then... Well I won't tell u more lol

    My fav song from it is this one - it sums up the feeling of the movie:

    As well as your recommendations IMDB gave it 8.1/10 - thats more than good enough for me

    Yes, that was an old site I put up around 1998 when I first got internet and some free web space . Not sure why it is down.

    Harold and Maude was a very funny motion picture.
    It had nothing to do with Cat Stevens or Islam.
    Watch it for a laugh.

    I agree completely. Harold and Maude was just the first time that I heard Cat Stevens' music as it was featured in the film's soundtrack. But the movie itself has NOTHING to do with Islam, the messages in the movie couldn't be further from Islam and religion, in fact. I love that movie... in fact I think I'm going to rewatch it. Always puts me in a good mood. Smiley

    Yes that's me. As for Prince Charles I found him a genuine and pleasant person. Yusuf likewise.

    I'm curious if you're still in touch with Yusuf Islam / Cat Stevens?

    Has he spoken anywhere in any interview or anything why he decided to drop his adopted last name in his latest incarnation?

    No, I'm not in touch with him and haven't spoken to him since I left Islamia School.

    What am I doing now? Looking after my kids mostly and spending far too much time on an internet forum  Wink
