Hi, um... I'm 17, male, from London and my family is probably the least religious "Muslim" family in the country. I'm a recent 'convert' to atheism, thanks to Richard Dawkins (it was going to happen, he just hurried it along).

BTW I'm prefer to think of myself as a sceptic/skeptic rather than an atheist.

I'm curious, what's the difference between a skeptic and an atheist?

Technically speaking Atheism is the rejection of the hypothesis God(s) and nothing else, but skepticism (in my view) is a rational and logical examination of the world around you, your views are based on evidence alone (mostly).

I'm an "ex-muslim", so I looked on the interwebs for 'non-ex-christians', just happened to notice the forum.
The difference between an agnostic and a sceptic is that the agnostic does not dare to lean left or right regardless of evidence, and to a sceptic is willing to accept or dismiss ideas based on evidence.

My family is no problem, we have never been to a single mosque in England, never prey at home and don't read the quran. My father is an implicit agnostic, rest of my family don't even care about the topic, only my poor mother is a devout Muslim.

I'm quite lucky huh?

Well, it was 2Pac's track, but Shock-G/Humpty Hump did that part of it. Tupac started in the biz with Digital Underground, so he invited them on for his sophomore album and that song happened to be the biggest single off it in the US.
