Hi

I found this website yesterday and I like it. Organised religion of any kind scares me and I hate that children can still be indoctrinated into religion by 'the system.' It seems so incredible to me that people continue to believe this rubbish although my parents were not very religious and I was only really exposed to christianity at school.

I revolted age 13, wrote to the local paper about the legal requirement to hold religious assembly daily in schools and have had a keen interest in religion ever since. There is so much information and debate on the net now, that I feel we have reached a turning-point. Atheists are beginning to organise themselves in a way that allows direct confrontation and challenging of 'traditional' views like never before.

I find it so hard to stand by and watch people being brought up in a lie.

btw my (last) ex-wife was a Yemeni from Sheffield. She knew Prince Naseem when they were kids.

Even I was born in Leeds although I haven't been back in 30 yrs.

Thanks for being so welcoming. I didn't know 'Prince' Naseem although I did use to box a long time ago. He fell out of favour for being a prat and nearly killing someone while driving. He broke just about every bone in this guy's body and went to prison for it.
