I love this forum because it feels like a family. The only group of people you can be 100% genuine with about your apostasy. When I'm online and I enter this forum, it feels like I've found my internet home.

+ this place is full of funny people, intelligent people, articulate people, goodhearted people etc. A diversity of great qualities.

Believe those who are seeking the truth. Doubt those who find it.

I love this forum because it helps me to heal from my religious illness, even though the virus didn't touch me profoundly.

If the abrahamic god judged himself according to his own moral standards, he'd go to hell.

He's jealous, full of pride, he created evil, he doesn't heal sick people while he could, he's attacking people who are weaker than him, he follows his own desires and he commits murders all the time.

Because it's the only place I can go to to talk to other ex muslim atheists who have been through similar experiences.

These forum members are the only people who actually understand my problems.

And that is why people on this forum develop emotional connections to each other which creates the friendly, family like atmosphere.

Because I express whatever feelings I have without someone spouting "Haram!" or "Astagfirullah!" or "Subhanallah" or "Brother, don't you believe in the Quran and Sunnah?!"

This is the only place where people understand.

    There's a Hadith about it:

Narrated Abu Maskharah who said, I heard Ibn Abi ghabaa say, “The Messenger of Allah PBUH forbade us from seeking forgiveness on the forum. Someone said, ‘What if it is Hassan, oh messenger of Allah?’ He replied, ‘That’s cool.’”

    -Agreed upon

There's more intelligent people here than not. A lot of forums, I wonder if the day will come any of the members will blossom from an idiot into an imbecile, hence why I don't bother with them. CEMB, on the other hand...

TheDarkRebel, if you don't fancy looking through the thread I gave the short answer is this.

My reasons for being active on this site are very simple. I actually said why I joined in my intro. I found out what ex-muslims are going through not just abroad but in my own country and I was moved by all of you. I don't think it's right and as one human being to another I want to be involved. Having to hide your beliefs or lack of beliefs, the threats and intimidation a number of ex-muslims go through is flat out wrong. It has no place in 21st century Britain or anywhere else.

I love this forum because this was my first point of contact with other ex muslims when I felt like I was the only one.

This place lets me talk about my exmuslim problems with people who understand exactly what I am going through.

I can talk about my real views on Islam freely with like minded murtads.

    Most importantly,

this forum helps me cope with the experience of being a closeted ex muslim.
