  • Thatcher portrait that cost taxpayers ?100,000
     OP - January 04, 2009, 01:48 AM

...."A portrait of Margaret Thatcher, commissioned by Gordon Brown as his personal tribute to her achievements, is to be unveiled in Downing Street next month."...

I would have created one for free. Would have got a pile of dog S*** and smeared in on some canvas. It might take a few weeks to get the right likeness. Albeit crashing the mining unions was a good thing but she has a lot to answer for.

oh Muslim, oh servant of Allah, this is a Jew behind me, come and kill him!"

Strange, she looks almost anxious with her hands clasped together tightly like that. Not what I would expect from the iron lady.

She looks like a female Monty Burns. I can just imagine her saying "Release the hounds." evil

Devious, treacherous, murderous, neanderthal, sub-human of the West. bunny

I don't know why Tovarich Brown would have commisioned this, his political views are quite alot different to Thatchers.  ?100,000 is a bit steep but a small drop in the ocean compared to the vast billions the government wastes on non-jobs, initiatives and MP expenses.

couldn't they have just killed her , stretched her out and nailed her to the wall . It would be cheaper . And much more satisfying .

... and Gordys not that distant from her at all - nationalising public services , handing over control of interest rates to the bank of England , employing legions of advisors , giving the city its head and allowing fat cats to get ever fatter whilst preaching the need for belt tightening to the peasants etc. etc. etc .....
