That's interesting that they've added that, even with his mispronunciations (bishmillah... reebbal..)

This is the one I seen/heard, no Arabic. (official music vid)

If I recall correctly, Busta Rhymes is a Five Percenter (sect that originated in the Nation of Islam).

That first song features Akon, who is muslim from Senegal. He has three wives.

    And DJ Khaled, Palestinian.

Rap has always had muslim influence, it was started by Five Percenters.

Remember this one? (Brand Nubian, "Allah-u Akbar" 1993)

    Akon has 3 wives?  Cheesy

Funny how he ignores the "no music" clause, but readily takes advnatage of the more than one wife allowance.

Inhale the good shit, exhale the bullshit.

I think his background is Sufi, because he refers to "Touba, where the prophets were born" in his song "Senegal", which is a big sufi center of Mouridism.

And I don't think they've heard of the "no music clause".

Lifes hard for brother go easy on him... By the way Busta is a Muslim, I don't know the 5% issue, I doubt it in all honesty 5% is more of a political movement, you will seldom here actual Quranic verses in any 5% music, its more NAS style Nas is a 5%.

Would you say the same, if you heard he had one wife and 2 mistresses? Whats wrong with having more then one wife if the women are all kosher about it?  Huh?

Whats the problem with him having three wives?

Why, he just has three wives, why would that make you dislike someone?

It didn't. It made me dislike him more.

I dislike him because of his blatant objectification through his music, his music that defies the very basis of Islam which quite clearly states that music is 'haram', yet he jumps at the opportunity to have three wives. It all makes sense, he is a womanizing figure that I just can't grow to like.

That and his music is simply awful.

    I wanna fuuuuck you...you already knowwww.  whistling2

I was shocked when I first heard that. I thought the radio edit was the only version. I liked it better "I wanna loooove you...you already knowwww."

And I love the Pakistani band Call....I just made my boyfriend listen to them, and although he can't understand them, he thinks they are pretty good!

Because it devalues women as people. I should have thought that was obvious!
And the music's like Victoria Beckham on throat lozenges.

Not to mention how terrible and extremely women-are-meat-for-men-sexual his music is. Yuck. I hate Akon. Dog.
Anyways, I heard the fake Arabic women a few months ago and thought it was too funny. The Arabic one is funny too.

Not to me its not (insert sarcastic comment here), if the women agree where's the problem?

Is it an Islamic requirement to get the wife's agreement before taking another one?

Nope. Unless she stipulates that upon marriage (that he not take another wife), otherwise she has no say.

Isn't the stipulation part just part and parcel of a long process of modern interpretation and add ons?
