  • Death
     OP - November 22, 2008, 12:02 PM

    Ignorance is bliss.

If I were ignorant, I might have some comfort at death; thinking that there's a God; rather than this discomfort of His likely absence, and that of an afterlife. Just nothing.

This angst I put at the back of my mind, used to be at the front as a mu'min...

Just a thought that occurred to me.

    Whaddya'll think?

I chose to get circumcised at 17, don't tell me I never believed.

Totally, ignorance is bliss and knowing, or believing (added so that Jack doesn't leap on it lol) what I do now about what is ahead, or the distinct lack ahead, is often so heartbreaking that going forward seems impossible.

But really what else can you do?  take two steps forward and one step back and eventually you will get where you are going, and tbh that is how I feel at times.

Inhale the good shit, exhale the bullshit.
