Hi everyone! My name's Octavia, and osmanthus has very kindly given me permission to tell you about the Nontheist Nexus, and it's associated e-zine Nexus.

You can see NN here: http://www.nontheistnexus.com

NN is basically a neutral resource for secular stuff - we list fora, blogs, organisations, that sort of thing. We're pretty much aimed at the online secular community that congregates around such boards as this and RichardDawkins.net, Talk Rational!, Rants n Raves, and others. We're hoping to add a library soon as well.

We also have a monthly e-zine, written by and for people like you on this and other associated boards - and that's where I help out. This thread is basically to let you know about the zine, invite you to read and contribute, and post updates whenever a new issue comes out.

We take all sorts of stuff - it doesn't have to be secular in origin - we also are interested in arts (including creative arts of any sort, book/movie/music reviews), sciences, interviews, opinion pieces... whether they're academic, personal stories, or aimed at a more popular audience, we're happy to include it.

We've been going since January, and you can see all the back issues on the site, but if you're interested in reading the latest issue you can find October's offering here:
    http://www.nontheistnexus.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=230&Itemid=539

We're very happy to have the CoEM come aboard, and hope you enjoy reading and are inspired to contribute in future (you'd be very welcome)!

    Cheers,
    Octavia. Smiley

I'm a member there, its too Americanism for my liking, and unfortunately American atheists are too obnoxious, and overly opinionated, and way too liberal.

You're welcome, BerberElla! I hope you enjoy it.

You might be interested in reading our interview with Kafirgirl, in the October issue. Smiley

    That's a pretty broad brush, I reckon.

I'm from New Zealand, myself. Smiley

    Kafirgirl rocks.  Afro

ETA: Broad brushes are Tut's specialty. We only just let him out of the pit. Don't take him too seriously.

I think you made a typo there. The word is "shit".

Anyway in case you hadn't noticed the name "Octavia" is feminine.  bunny

It's taken a while, but no more bloody Joomla to deal with. Yay! The content of the back issues and the first of the new content has been moved to a different and more easily accessible zine.

Take a look here, and please take some time to leave comments to the authors and artists - I'm sure they'd appreciate it.

The rest of NN is moving even slower through the upgrade, but should be improving sooner or later. Sooner, if we get more volunteers...  Wink
