    There's just one thing I don't understand...

    What does P's and Q's mean??  Huh?

    And I'll stay out of East London next time  Cheesy

    P's and Q's? You mean when we're writing in symbolic form? P = PhysMath and Q = Qtian Cheesy

    Basically implies that you're aware of what's going on around you.

    "Police are there, mind your P's and Q's"

    P's also has another interpretation.

    P's = papers= money.

    You don't need to know about Q's Cheesy

    My mind runs, I can never catch it even if I get a head start.

    Quote
    From an old printer's axiom. Back in the early days of printing presses, each line of text had to be set up one letter at a time. Since the letters in the press were reversed (so they'd print forward), the printmaker (or typographer) needed to be careful not to confuse one letter for the other.
    Reminding someone to "watch his p's and q's" means to pay attention to the details.

    Okay, makes sense now  Cheesy

    My answer was better:

    Basically implies that you're aware of what's going on around you.

    "Police are there, mind your P's and Q's"

    It also has a secondary interpretation.

    P's = papers= money.

    You don't need to know about Q's.

    And what, don't you dare. Tinie Tempah is hilariously bad compared to the old school artists.

    I try to keep fit but I don't like gym that much. I try to keep fit with sports activities which the blessed weather in the UK hinders a lot  finmad

     Reply #1135 - February 22, 2015, 03:19 PM

    A few times, once as a baby when I (or rather my family) discovered I was allergic to egg, and another time when I almost suffocated on a sweet which got lodged in my oesophagus but applied pressure to my trachea. Not really nice but most of the unease is in the panicking. If you can calm that panic - which happens naturally once you get to a certain stage - I can't imagine death itself being that painful or scary.

    What is the strangest thing you have seen in your life?

    EDIT: Forgot to add the countless times I mindlessly crossed the road and almost got run over and the times I drove the car and almost crashed. Near death in the sense of near misses xD First time I had a panic attack felt like I was close to death, and another time was when I got winded, the lack of ability to break is scary in that situation!
