their radicalism is mostly hot air. they are actually the children of multiculturalism. yep, tony is their real dad and they're about to be cut out of his generous will.

like all spoiled brats, hard lessons must be learned. the hard way.

Shaming them can go a long way if people had the guts, not least in the gutless 'liberal' media. Something that you underrated it seems. Leaving these people alone to their own fruition would be fulfilling the multicultural dream (or as I would describe it as one way way multiculturalism, but whatever). And yes, shutting down hateful mosques is one of many measures society can take. But its also invaluable to say to someone who is either feeling 'melancholic' about living in this country or resentful to the point of wanting to rip the fabric of society that they can fuck off if they don't like it here. Doesn't get said enough to these people.

tories eating labour's lunch again. offering alternative education streams for thickos and racial virtue signalling.

It wasn't so much brains as much as a need for escape that got me to university. You can afford to be uneducated if you grew up in a 'White community' whereas it's not so much the case growing up in an inner city borough of London or Birmingham rife with gang warfare or knife crime. Or growing up in a secluded mill town in Yorkshire with the prospect of facing an arranged marriage if you're from a Pakistani background.

parallel societies only persist because they are not left alone. the state has created the structures that make multiculturism/separatism viable, ie these ghettos cannot exist if there is no political incentive.

with labour imploding into irrelevance, those incentives are quickly evaporating.

    a near miss.

Labour won 13,296 votes with the Conservatives recording 12,973, according to official results. Kim Leadbeater defeated Ryan Stephenson, the Tory candidate, by 323 votes. George Galloway, representing the Workers Party of Britain, came third with 8,264 votes.

seems the labour leadership are celebrating this win as a great victory. they are deluding themselves.

only the tories should be  happy. they need a weak opposition to prevent their own divisions from bubbling up.

the only practical way to break tory domination for the next decade is to put the labour party out of it's misery - allowing new political shoots to grow.

the fate of so-called 'british muslims' cannot be untangled until that happens.

Keir Starmer’s Labour Party narrowly avoided a second successive by-election defeat to the Tories yesterday. But the most important story of the campaign was the alienation of British Muslims from a political mainstream that openly despises them.

the more things change, the more they stay the same.

The past 50 years or so have seen a cultural revolution in western society comparable in scope to the Reformation. Most of us have known only that period of transition, when morality and norms were up for debate, but perhaps it is now over. Perhaps we have returned to the sort of world we lived in when England last reached a final, in 1966 – a world of strictly enforced social mores.

getting carried away - it's only a game but this sentiment is everywhere.

What we're seeing this summer, in my opinion, is nation building at its finest.

For that alone we should be immensely grateful to
    @GarethSouthgate and his team.

We've got Punjabis dancing in the streets of Wolverhampton with the St. George's flag.

We've got Muslim kids at school watching the game and singing "it's coming home".

This is a new era. Times have changed.

and now for something completely different.

In 1921 the composer Gustav Holst was asked to set the poem ‘I vow to thee, my country’ to music. Being overworked at the time, he was delighted to find that the words largely fitted the maestoso tune from the Jupiter movement of his orchestral suite The Planets.

The words were written in 1908 by the British diplomat Sir Cecil Spring-Rice (1859–1918) but were revised in 1918 to reflect the devastation caused by the Great War. ‘I vow to thee, my country’ is therefore regularly heard on Armistice Day.

place and identity are compelling themes. whether it's england or jerusalem.

but like all sectarian identities, they spell trouble when people take them too seriously. soft/passive patriotism/religion always has the potential to become malignant.

This royal throne of kings, this sceptred isle,
This earth of majesty, this seat of Mars,
    This other Eden, demi-paradise,
This fortress built by Nature for herself
Against infection and the hand of war,
This happy breed of men, this little world,
This precious stone set in the silver sea,
Which serves it in the office of a wall
Or as a moat defensive to a house,
Against the envy of less happier lands,--
This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England.
