     OP - November 29, 2019, 06:30 PM

    earlier today:

    Quote from:
A terror suspect wearing a fake suicide vest was shot dead by police on London Bridge on Friday after he stabbed "a number" of people in central London.

Neil Basu, the head of UK counter-terrorism policing, said: "At approximately 2pm today, police were called to a stabbing at a premises near London Bridge.

"A male suspect was shot by specialist armed officers from City of London police and I can confirm that this suspect died at the scene."

Mr Basu said that specialist officers had been deployed after reports that the suspect had an explosive vest, but the device was believed to be a "hoax".

Mr Basu said the attack had been declared a terrorist incident but the force was retaining an open mind to the motive.

he had a track record but fell off the authorities radar somehow.

    Quote from:
Usman Khan, the suspect shot dead in the 30 November 2019 terror attack near London Bridge, had been released from jail after being convicted of terror offences, including plotting to attack the London Stock Exchange in 2010.

Khan was part of a gang of nine extremists from Stoke-on-Trent, Cardiff and London who were sentenced in February 2012 at Woolwich crown court. He had planned to establish a “terrorist military training facility” on land owned by his family in Kashmir, according to sentencing remarks.

Khan, at 19, was the youngest of the group. In his sentencing remarks Mr Justice Wilkie said Khan and two others were “more serious jihadis” than the others.

London Bridge attacker identified as Usman Khan, UK national of Pakistani origin    says Dawn News.. with this picture

    Quote
Metropolitan Police on Saturday identified the London Bridge attacker as British national Usman Khan, a 28-year-old male from Staffordshire.

"We are now in a position to confirm the identity of the suspect as 28-year-old Usman Khan, who had been residing in the Staffordshire area. As a result, officers are, tonight, carrying out searches at an address in Staffordshire,” Assistant Commissioner Neil Basu said in a statement issued past midnight.

Khan stabbed two people to death and left three injured a day earlier in an attack that caused fear and panic across the city as residents revisited the spectre of terror returning to London.

"This individual was known to authorities, having been convicted in 2012 for terrorism offences,” Basu said. “He was released from prison in December 2018 on licence and clearly, a key line of enquiry now is to establish how he came to carry out this attack."

He added that Khan was shot by specialist armed forces and died at the scene.

"The circumstances, as we currently understand them, are that the attacker attended an event earlier on Friday afternoon at Fishmonger’s Hall called ‘Learning Together’."

He added that police believe the attack began inside before Khan left the building and proceeded onto London Bridge, where he was detained and subsequently confronted and shot by armed officers...

well I have to cross out my own post and eat my words.. wiki says something else on this Insane Islamic NUT CASE

Who is Usman Khan, the London Bridge attacker news from khaleej times

    Quote
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usman_Khan_(militant)

Usman Khan (Urdu: عثمان خان); born 10 March 1991[2]– 29 November 2019) was a Pakistani-British convicted terrorist and the perpetrator of the 2019 London Bridge stabbing, where two people were killed and three others injured. Khan was shot at the scene by City of London Police and died there. He was wearing an electronic tag and a fake suicide jacket when he carried out the attack.

Khan was a supporter of Al-Muhajiroun, the group led by Anjem Choudary, which has been dubbed Britain's "most prolific and dangerous extremist group

    Quote
1).  Usman Khan was born 10 March 1991

2),  He was among nine men charged with conspiracy to bomb high-profile London targets in the run-up to Christmas in 2010.

3).   Khan was jailed for eight years in 2010  over this crime and charges of building a terrorist training camp in Pakistan-controlled Kashmir owned by Khan's family. Nine men had pleaded guilty to this incident which was inspired by Al-Qaeda

4).  Khan had been allowed to leave prison on temporary release licence in December 2018 following a previous 2012 foiled terrorism plot after pleading guilty to involvement in the 2010

5.)  Usman Khan, the suspect shot dead in the 30 November 2019 terror attack near London Bridge,

Well that is his life time line.. A 19 year old convicted and jailed for 8 years or so in London .. Comes out from Jail in 2018 and kills some unknown innocent bystanders in 2019 and gets shot dead ...  I am sure if we go detailed analysis of his life .. we will find different story.,   He must have had very hard family life that is NOT unusual in Pakistan's  Muslims families  where  these fellows come  from an economically poor family whose father often have/had  2, 3, 4 wives and some 6 to 8 children living  under one room or in  two room flats

Well for such kids the only thing that is left  is  Allah.,   Mosques.. food ..madrassas .. and getting brain washed by rogues that preach garbage from so-called Islamic scriptures. They are OK in Pakistan or other so-called Islamic nations  but in London?? New York??   No chance,,,

    the blame game.

    Quote from:
Khan was jailed after receiving a controversial sentence of imprisonment for public protection (IPP) in 2012. This allowed him to be held in prison indefinitely, with no minimum term, until a parole board agreed he was no longer a threat to the public.

... Khan and two others successfully appealed against their IPP sentences. In 2013, the court of appeal revised Khan’s sentence to a term of 16 years, and told him he would have to spend a minimum of eight years behind bars.

At the time, Lord Justice Leveson at the court of appeal indicated that he expected the Parole Board to review Khan’s case at the end of the eight-year minimum term, describing anybody who had committed such terrorism offences as dangerous.

But on Saturday morning, the Parole Board put out a statement saying it had not reviewed Khan’s case at all – and that the London Bridge terrorist had been released without its involvement – suggesting the law had been misunderstood or misapplied.

it appears he wanted to engage with offenders in order to improve the chances of rehabilitation.

whether proper risk assessments were carried out is unknown but I would suggest that criminals motivated by clear ideology are a category part from petty criminals.

    Quote from:
The London Bridge attacker had asked for help to be deradicalised while he was in prison, but none was forthcoming, his solicitor has claimed.

Vajahat Sharif told the Guardian Usman Khan had come to realise that violent extremism was wrong and accepted his understanding of Islam was deficient.

Sharif said the policy for terrorist prisoners needed to change to boost efforts to turn them away from supporting ideologies that incite violence: “There is a flaw in the policy. You should have substantial ideological evaluation of these individuals before they are released on licence.”

Sharif said Khan appeared to be rehabilitated and was a model prisoner during his time in HMP Whitemoor: “He was having a go at Isis before his release. I’ve no idea what happened after his release, that is what is shocking. Maybe he was not ideologically robust enough to resist the radicalising groomers – I thought he was a reformed character.”

ideological evaluation might be useful outside prison too -  belief in false flag conspiracy theories seems to be the popular response from british muslims and others on social media.

unfortunately, it cannot be safely implemented whilst the liberal orthodoxy is in the fearful grip of inquisition drives and doomsday cults.

Usman Khan's lawyer Vajahat Sharif was shocked his client was responsible for the London Bridge terrorist attack.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLNW6ZUNI88

Usman Khan's lawyer Vajahat Sharif is Criminal Lawyer NOT NEUROLOGIST OR  A PSYCHIATRIST.,   the worst problem is the conviction of that 17 year old kid and putting him in to a harsh jail cells until he was 28 or so ..  and then releasing him in to cities..

well what do we expect? POLITICAL IDEOLOGY MIXED WITH FAITH AND FAITH LACED WITH TERROR PREACHING  from hadith  by scoundrels like Anjum Choudhary  will push every 17 year old kid in to that murdering mode of that brutal  fool..
