Hey Everyone. I've been an ex-muslim for several years and I help run a very active, underground ex-muslim social group.

For any Ex-Muslims based in the Midlands - there is a large and very active Ex-Muslim social group, based on a secret group on facebook. We have regular large socials (30+ attending), occasional parties and a facebook group, where everyone interacts.

The group is 100% private because of the need of many ex-muslims to remain anonymous, due to the difficulties regarding apostasy. Therefore, we meet everyone in person before they join, which gives the group a very personal touch, as most people have met each other. The group is around 100 Ex-Muslims, all based in the Midlands.

    To join, please PM me

    Thanks

Congratulations for your group in Midlands,. Impressive that you have so many members. There is power in numbers. There ir s also power in the message: Atheism has a lot to offer provided it is positive atheism and not negative atheism that Richard Dawkins and Sam Harrison etc.  practice. Free from God and other superstitions is liberating. You do not spend your entire life in earning  points  for rewards  in the next life. You can make friends, enjoy nature and do good deeds. A life of an atheist is less complicated than that of a believer.

I would also recommend that you and your group  come out in the open. A great advantage of living in the West  is that everyone is entitled to free speech and action. So we should openly avow and advocate secularism and humanism - it is not a crime. I was impressed by Maryam Namazi when she visited New York that she published a book on Islamic atheism in her own name. I have learnt from her example  and written a book soon to be published.

Do not let silence become your legacy.. Question everything
I renounced my faith to become a kafir,
the beloved betrayed me and turned in to  a Muslim
