well ghettos in France..  ghettos in England..... ghettos in US of A  ..... ghettos in east and ghettos in west., Ghettos in Islamic nations.   .ghettos in Africa., South America.,   This ghettoism problem is everywhere ... IS IT A RELIGION/FAITH  SPECIFIC  PROBLEM?? IS IT A RACE SPECIFIC PROBLEM??  I don't think so .. it is an economic problem , political problem., economic problem... and some times it gets coupled to  individual/family  problems increasing the troubles in these ghettoed societies

anyways on that   France and Islam .. the news in dawn editorial says

I guess Zaffar Abbas  wrote that ... I AM NOT SURE ., anyways in it he says

    Quote
IN a globalised world, despite the shrinking of distances and the coming together of cultures, hateful ideologies persist. Discrimination and violence on the basis of race, religion, and sect continue to bedevil our seemingly modern world, as ancient tribal prejudices refuse to die down.
    Quote
Amongst the hateful ideologies that have affected a large portion of humanity is Islamophobia, where Muslims are demonised and isolated either due to their beliefs or the violent actions of a few wayward groups and individuals acting in the name of Islam.

In this regard, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, while virtually addressing a session of the UN’s Economic and Social Council, highlighted the issue of Islamophobia. Without naming India, Mr Qureshi denounced the “discriminatory citizenship laws ... and repeated state-sponsored pogroms against minorities” while also calling for a “global alliance against the rise and spread of Islamophobic as well as other violent nationalist and racist groups”.

Read: UNGA adopts Pakistan-led resolution on 'promotion of interreligious, intercultural dialogue'

    Quote
Indeed, the virus of hate has spread far and wide across the world. The foreign minister has rightly made reference to India, where the Hindu hard right has made a mockery of Indian secularism by hounding the country’s Muslim minority. But even elsewhere in the world, for example in parts of Europe, anti-Muslim and anti-foreigner sentiment is high, with some states led by ultranationalist regimes echoing the poisonous rhetoric that their fascist forebears espoused in the mid-20th century, in the lead-up to World War II.

Therefore, there is a need for a global response to racist and fascist ideologies that threaten minorities. In many cases, foreigners and those declared the ‘other’ are easy scapegoats for society’s failures, with all ills blamed on ‘outsiders’. This conundrum has been succinctly summed up by Mesut Ozil, the star German footballer of Turkish descent: “I am German when we win, an immigrant when we lose.”

However, despite the deep-seated prejudice against Muslims and foreigners in many societies, the fact that extremist militants have greatly contributed to the discrimination against Islam must also be acknowledged. Transnational terrorist outfits such as Al Qaeda, the self-styled Islamic State group and others of their ilk, claiming to be working for the glory of Islam, have in fact done a great disservice to Islam and Muslims. Their large-scale slaughter of both Muslims and non-Muslims is antithetical to religious injunctions that place the greatest value on human life, and are in stark contrast with traditional Muslim thought.

Moreover, Islamist militancy is thoroughly a modern construct, a reactionary phenomenon born out of the injustice and repressiveness found in most Muslim states, and the colonial interventions of non-Muslim powers in places such as Palestine and Kashmir. The world community must therefore address both issues: the profound anti-Muslim prejudice evident in many societies, as well as the repressive systems in most Muslim states that help create the foot soldiers for religiously inspired militancy.

Published in Dawn, February 22nd, 2021

So how do we solve that Islamophobia problem??  well I can solve that with ONE SINGLE STATEMENT..... if you preach that in mosques...Churches ...temples .. synagogues ... That problem can be trashed and it will be done in few years if not in few months..

But the fact is that it has hardly anything to do with reality in Islamic countries since it ignores the potential for Islamic violence and separatism witnessed daily in France. zemmour threatening to hobble le pen's presidential bid.

    Quote from:
"During the debate against Emmanuel Macron, she showed a crass incompetence and an inability to gain height (...) She fell into all the traps that Emmanuel Macron set for her, without being able to respond economically and to talk about France. She does not have the culture that her father had or the previous generation.  Marine Le Pen is on the left . All these reflexes are on the left. She is much more so than some people in the Socialist Party ". (RTL)

Since then, Zemmour has never ceased to refer to Le Pen as a "completely zero" person who will never be able to beat Macron. So, if Marshal passes his turn, it is his. Only, running is not an easy task, it will be necessary to find the 500 signatures of elected officials. For financing, Bolloré would be ready to put his hand in his pocket.

It was without taking into account the fact that this message was posted on the first day of Ramadan , when the fasting period for French people of Muslim faith began.

    assimilation defeated by integration.

    Quote from:
My hypothesis is that we find in Sartre's work a French version of multiculturalism with its own characteristics, in particular its emotional foundation which cultivates self-shame.

Starting from the shame of the fate done to the Jews under the Occupation, but also of that done to "blacks" or "colonized", Sartre engages in a critique of assimilationist democracy. The recognition of “identity” must take precedence over citizen membership in the nation, this is what he calls “concrete liberalism” which I show is in reality an outline of a multicultural program.

    Quote
... Islam “in itself” is not a political force. The political actor is the Muslims who have assimilated Islam and who propagate its mores as its law by imitative processes. These Muslims arrived in France through immigration very recently and it is even more recently that the problem of their assimilation arises.

There is an essential reason for this: their number. It is only through numbers that Muslim mores and law can enter into political conflict, and no longer only in theoretical contradiction, with our mores and our laws.

Is it the number that has produced the impossibility of assimilation or is it the abandonment of the demand for assimilation that has produced the number? I lean for the second hypothesis and therefore for a political explanation. I believe that it is because we have gradually ceased to be a political people that we have ceased to have a policy towards foreigners. We have "forgotten" that we had to assimilate ourselves as French in order to have a common political will with regard to foreigners.

Depoliticized and open to moralism and the “guilt-inducing masochism” of migratory ideology, we no longer paid attention to the number or to the origin of foreigners and we opened the floodgates.

In a series of tweets, Prime Minister Imran clarified that his government had only taken action against the recently proscribed Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) after members of the party "challenged the writ of the state, used street violence and attacked the public and law enforcers".

"No one can be above the law and the Constitution," he emphasised.

if you agree that force arises out numbers not ideology then simple control of demographic change  (ie immigration and its dispersal) is the logical solution to social conflict.

    pretty much covers it.

    Quote
The media focus on the speech of this mother wearing the hijab and asking the president " of the mix " deserves a long analysis, not to mention her anecdote about her son not knowing (at eight years old!) the first name Pierre, who says more about the family and environmental community environment in which it bathes, than on the failings of the Republic.

Let us stick to this woman's request for "diversity". On the one hand, socio-cultural diversity cannot be decreed; it is the free choice of individuals to choose their place of residence, except by asking the State to force the installation of populations on discriminating criteria because of their real or supposed origins ...

On the other hand, social and ethnic diversity existed in these neighborhoods as everywhere in France until the mid-1980s-early 1990s. To question the reasons for her disappearance is to respond to this woman who claims what she is asking for, the communitarianism and the current cultural homogeneity of these districts have made it definitively impossible.

The school since 1990 has deconstructed all the landmarks that made it possible to form a common society: literature, language learning, history, geography. Co-education has disappeared from these suburban neighborhoods or from those of certain metropolises because, in the decade 1990-2000, the children of immigrants of European or Asian origin mostly made social progress and therefore left these neighborhoods where their parents were first -comers had settled down to go to less disadvantaged neighborhoods. It is commonplace and quite universal in migration stories.

How could these children of immigrants born in the years 1960-1970-1980 be able to “ progress ” socially and be able to leave these neighborhoods? Thanks to the public school where a majority of teachers still practiced the traditional methods remaining deaf to the injunctions of leveling down, demanded from their hierarchies.

From the mid-1990s, massive retirements led to the renewal of the teaching staff now trained in these ideologically formatted boxes that are the current ESPé IUFMs, fed on differentialist well-thinking.

All this led to the decay of public schools, preventing the children of newcomer immigrants and those who were now the second generation, from learning to emancipate themselves. The school since 1990 has deconstructed all the landmarks that made it possible to form a common society: literature, language learning, history, geography.

This new migratory phase (1999-present) began at a time when the geopolitics of Islamism took advantage of the globalization of flows and the softening of European civilization. At the time when the school of the Republic renounced its cultural requirement, its assimilationist project, its ambition of emancipation (also renouncing the transition to its secularism as the Creil affair in 1989 demonstrated), the immigration of mass resumed after a twenty-five year hiatus.

The origin of this immigration has also changed since in 1975 of the 3.9 million immigrants over 65% were European (Portugal, Italy, Spain and others), in 1999 out of 4.3 million immigrants this European share was already decreasing. 44% for the benefit of Maghreb and African immigration. And in 2017, out of 6.2 million immigrants, the share of European flows was only 35%.

And the public school, the last base on which could rest this republican hope of a shared national life having been destroyed, there can only be ethno-demographic homogeneity in these districts.

This diversity means living in a minority, tolerated because submissive, in an ethnocultural bath that you do not want for your child. This homogeneity is further reinforced by communitarianism, encouraged by social landlords and local elected officials who often respond favorably to requests to install people of the same origins in the same neighborhoods.

Reinforced by the fact that the State and local elected officials have allowed Islamist enclaves to develop, causing non-Muslims of all origins to flee from these territories. Let us remember the riots of 2005 and those that President Sarkozy called to his rescue to " calm young people ": the agents of political Islam whom they enthroned at the same time in his CFCM ...

Since 2005, hatred for France has continued to grow in these neighborhoods, pushed by so-called anti-racist groups. And the inhabitants of these districts are now asking for “ diversity ”? What kind of diversity is it when in a neighborhood there are no longer any businesses other than community ones? When the baker or the manager of the bar-tabac is forced to sell because he has been threatened or robbed ten times? When the butcher has packed up a long time ago? Do the elected officials of these neighborhoods who call for diversity in their wishes live there? Do they educate their offspring there?

Many of us have a history of immigration in our family or loved ones, and we can testify to what the integration pathways of our ancestors were in the 1950s for example. Often difficult courses, six in 40 square meters without bathroom and toilet on the landing, the mockery of schoolmates here on frizzy hair, there on a prominent nose.

This is the mix that works: a majority that welcomed a minority to which it asked to adapt, and not the other way around.

However, no anti-French hatred that has been transmitted to us, no resentment against a State which at the time had nothing to do with the social difficulties of immigrant populations. In the 1930s, 1950s and 1970s, immigrants were in the minority in their buildings, their neighborhoods and their schools. He lived according to the cultural and social codes of the majority. He assimilated (or at least integrated) because he had social and political experiences with people different from him. He also brought a little of its history and its folklore, but did not seek to call into question the civilizational base of the host country.

This is the real mix: a majority that welcomed a minority to which it asked to adapt, and not the other way around.

While they hate each other, there are still many things that connect the pro-Islamists on the left and the far right. Both dehumanize Muslims by making them a homogeneous mass and placing them in a box.

Pro-Islamists do this by seeing Muslims as a community to defend. But they thus forget that they are not defending leftist and progressive values, but what the Islamists define as an “authentic” culture and religion.

The extreme right, too, sees only a homogeneous mass invading the West. They forget that many of those who come here - like me - precisely want to flee the Islamic movement, that we are against totalitarianism and that like everyone else we want freedom and rights that are not Western, but universal.

    fun article.

    Quote
Spengler ranks Arab or “magical” culture among the eight high cultures that he reviews, with among others “the Faustian” (West since the year 1000) or “the Apollonian” (Greco-Roman antiquity) ... According to him, Arab-magical culture encompasses all the religions of the Aramaic landscape, including early Judaism and Christianity, and this is why, he says, only "a pious Muslim would be able to approach a little the mentality of Jesus. " In this" Aramaic landscape ", Muhammad comes to liberate Arab culture chained by pseudomorphosis and “This deliverance from magical humanity is without example in history… Islam must be considered as the puritanism of the total group of previous magical religions…

    Quote
The late era that we are living according to Spengler, is quartered not in a smoky "identity pincer", but indeed between two nihilisms: one is hatred of those who by their established presence, hinder and "  poison the culture to being born in the midst of the landscape, the other is disgusted with his own culture, the apogee of which ends up being tiresome ” .

Examples of self-contempt, more or less conscious, constitute the framework of the tedious soap opera of the news: "  You will not have my hate  " is the new credo of this nihilism of the vanquished. There are many examples of this. Bernard Kalaora, anthropologist of the EHESS, published in 2018 on his blog the testimony of his attack with a knife by a young Moroccan fanatic, who stabbed eight people in the Chapel district: “… I probably got out of it thanks to his God Allah with a few stitches… I blame the public authorities even more than this young minor who in his hatred attacked all passers-by regardless of their gender and origin. He also injured two young North Africans themselves refugees who took me to help me in the nearest cafe and who, despite their injuries to their arms, fled for fear of going to the hospital and being returned to their country. Here is the beautiful France of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights which maintains hatred and which dares to speak outreception of refugees.

When insults and death threats started pouring in to her Instagram account in response to her comments in January 2020, some from viewers saying she was an affront to Islam, the teenager, Mila, dug in, quickly posting another video.

“I hate religion,” she declared. “The Quran is a religion of hatred.” She also used profanity to describe Islam and the crudest of imagery in referring to God.

The ensuing onslaught of threats after the video went viral has landed 13 people in court on charges of online harassment.

The case has put a spotlight on the roiling French debate over freedom of expression and blasphemy, especially when it touches on Islam. It is also a landmark test for recent legislation that broadens France’s definition of cyberharassment in regards to attacks on the internet, where vitriol is plentiful, modulated debate less so.

“We are setting the rules of what is acceptable and what is unacceptable,” Michaël Humbert, the presiding judge, said at the trial.

Some looked to history to capture the brutality of what Mila experienced online. Mila’s lawyer said she had been subjected to a digital stoning. The prosecutor in the case spoke of a “lynching 2.0.”

More than a year after Mila — The New York Times is withholding her last name because she has been the subject of harassment — posted her videos, her life remains in a tumult. She lives under police protection and she no longer attends school in person.

The 13 defendants, some teenagers themselves, are on trial in Paris, most accused of making death threats. They face the possibility of jail. The verdict is expected Wednesday.
