Reza Aslan’s ‘God & His New booklet   "God: A Human History " ...  New York Times

    $19.36
    Quote
A word of advice to the religiously curious: Don’t trust any history of God that has only 171 pages of text. Reza Aslan’s new project, “God: A Human History,”  .........

The idea of the book is fairly simple: Human spirituality can be explained in one cohesive, linear story about our universal desire to see ourselves in God. Aslan is skeptical of religion, which he sees as “little more than a ‘language’ made up of symbols and metaphors.” .................

This mix of humanism and pantheism guides Aslan’s narrative choices. ..............

......... He’s deeply interested in the origin of religious impulse, settling on an evolutionary theory: ...........

Readers searching for God in Aslan’s history will most likely be disappointed. But in this, there’s a hidden blessing. Unlike Aslan’s search, theirs will continue once the book is done.

Those words are penned  by Emma  green of "The Atlantic."  well you can read more of what Emma  green says  at  that first  link..  but Reza Aslan  and his sayings/writings all points out to me  that   he is a faith head  and the faith  happens to be Shia Islam.     not worth spending hard earned money....

Do not let silence become your legacy.. Question everything
I renounced my faith to become a kafir,
the beloved betrayed me and turned in to  a Muslim

    yeezevee...never die.

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'
