We now have automatic embedding of music and other vids. Naturally YouTube is one of the sites hooked up but there are a stack of other sites as well. None of them are dodgey ones, which means porn, etc wont work.

Anyone checking the (for instance) DJ Booth thread will notice that the vids now display here so you don't have to trundle off to a YouTube page to see them. Just post the basic link (http etc) without any of the embedding codes. You get the basic link from your address bar.

If for any reason you want to post the raw link rather than the video itself you can do this by putting the link in the code tags (indicated by the # button in your reply window).

Note: please don't try to post more than one vid per post.

This is to prevent Flash overload crashing your browser. This problem is particularly acute for those who are stuck on dialup connections, as some of our members are. Please be considerate and make a separate post for each video.

Yeah so all you have to do is post the link to YouTube like you normally would.
Be aware that YouTube (and some other sites) do allow people to disable embedding of their vids.
If you try to embed a vid that has embedding disabled obviously it wont work.
The box to the right of the vid should tell you if embedding has been disabled.
Most vids should be fine though.

It may be necessary to disable this mod temporarily as there appear to be some issues with it.
Unfortunate, but if it's going to cause trouble I'll have to do something about it.

You can use these tage to prevent an embed of the video, if you want to post just the link

I've not seen any issues with this mod, and I've been using it for a year now. What's the word Os?

Also you don't need those tags. Quote or code tags work just as well and are easier to use since they're already in the reply menu.
