So I re-installed my PC and now auto correct seems to have changed from English to something else when I write on the forum. Don't know if it's forum settings or PC settings, but the red lines really irritate me and I want to get rid of them. Anyone knows how?

Don't think so Qtian. I didn't have to download anything when the autocorrect worked properly in the English language. Mind you, it's only on the forum I want to change it, like it was before.

Interesting, are you using firefox or chrome?
There may be a very obvious fix, if you just reinstalled your OS have you updated your browser versions?

Here's a possible solution if you are using firefox (I don't know too much about Chrome):

-> Select menu, then options.
-> select advanced.
-> Select general.
->uncheck "check my spelling as I type".

If that doesn't work, right click and select "Add dictionaries" and then add English.

If your problem is chrome related, get firefox & then uninstall chrome

I downloaded Chrome today. As I said, this wasn't an issue before I re-installed my PC.

I noticed, hence why I asked if your browser versions are up to date (factory reset I'm assuming?)
I can only suggest that you try another browser and see if the problem emulates itself.

Yes factory reset. I couldn't access the internet for maybe 3 weeks on my laptop. Not a problem with the connection, it was just that my laptop refused to connect with the WiFi. Problem solved itself (at least for now :s) after factory reset, but now I have to deal with these annoying red lines everytime I write a post

EDIT: I found the solution. right click and the option for auto correct manifests
