Issue accessing forum from Indonesia

Hello techy overlords!

I've been told by someone who lives in Indonesia that they can only seem to access the forum via a proxy. The rest of the web is fine and they can access other atheist websites etc, it just seems when it comes to the forum, they get the 403 forbidden page I think....

I've asked them to try the usual like clearing out cache and cookies, restarting browser etc, but I don't think it has helped. Anything else I could ask them to try? Or any ideas as to what might be causing the issue?

Can you find out exactly what the error message says, and also the exact URL they are trying to access? A screenshot including both of those would be helpful.

Might also pay to check the IP bans.

ETA: 403 is what you'd get if you were running up against an IP range ban in .htaccess, and we have had spammers from Indonesia before.

Yes to what Luthiel and Os said. If none of those things resolve the issue, it's possible that this person's ISP (or Indonesian authorities in general) may have put this site on a blocked sites list, like some other Muslim majority countries have been known to do.
