    I think there should NOT be any extra time.. 90 mts game and go for Penalties.. No more extra time ... Stupid rules..  All my teams are loosing because this extra time  finmad

    America could have scored 3 or 4 at the end if they could finish. Was rooting for freedom in the end.

    In any case, I've still gone 8/8 in predictions, so won't need to modify any of my bracket, so this dark cloud has at least that silver lining.

    The favourites/group winners went through in each game. Your predictions were hardly out there.  aloofandbored0

    Last world cup 7 out of the 8 group winners went through to the next round, for comparison.

    The quarter finals look a lot less straightforward though. They all all could go either way with the exception of Netherlands vs Costa Rica.

    My soul will be crushed if Colombia don't knock out Brazil. I need to see Neymar become a broken man at the age of 22. Hamez the redeemer will destroy them, insha'allah.

    Real Madrid. Although I didn't see nearly as much of this season's triumph as I would've liked. Shame as I saw almost all of the 3 years of build up under Mourinho.

    Seeing as I have no connection to any of these European clubs or locales, I simply picked the club with my favorite player at the time (Zidane), and that I felt played the most attractive football. Been quite an experience following them thus far.

    Though they've both been under-preforming, and it's rather unlikely to happen, I want a Brazil-Argentina final. The rivalry will play out beautifully on Brazilian soil.
