    I was kind of scared to write this. I am sure there are lots of members out there who likes fashion and celebrities, so I thought why not suggest it? What do you say?

    Because the influence of 'celebrity culture' is almost as poisonous as that of Islam  Wink

    You know, this woman is too skinny, then she's too fat. Who is she dating. What is she wearing. Let's follow her around with a camera,let's show girls all around the world an unrealistic expectation of femininity and beauty and drive them into depression and eating disorders etc

    Yup!

    And it's not just femininity that they have unrealistic expectations of but life in general. I'm not saying that people shouldn't follow their dreams, but they should also have a "Plan B", just in case ...

    Rubaya: I believe the answer is because of comments like the ones you got to this thread  Roll Eyes

    Of course fashion and celebrities do not need a whole section of this forum, but feel free to start threads on those subjects either in the Lounge or in the Rant areas. I believe we have a thread about fashion that has quite a number of posts, so you could start by looking it up.

    LOL, I hardly watch TV. I only watch Boston Legal and sometimes Tom and Jerry. By the way I am a dowdy girl. I understand your points about celebrities, but a board on fashion where we can exchange ideas about what to wear and what to avoid is harmless IMHO. Anyway, we have The Lounge for that, so no problem Smiley.
