Hello everyone, I'll keep it short.  Smiley

Basically, I've known since I was about 12 that I did not believe in Islam. My parents kicked me out in April this year (2013) when I told them that I don't want to be a Muslim anymore. I now live with my boyfriend and his family.
I do not see my parents or my two siblings anymore. I only have what I was allowed to leave with or what I managed to pack in the 2 minutes they gave me.
    I'm 17 and I turn 18 in about 2 weeks.
I do not regret my decision, I just wish I still had my family. :L

I hope your boyfriend and his family are lovely people.

Hope also that you don't permanently lose your own family - you're hard-wired to them. The short-circuits can be a bummer, though.

Hi Saraa144 and welcome  parrot I am sorry for your troubles, but also happy that you are strong enough to stand up for yourself and live your life according to your own rules and not what other expect from you.

`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

First time hearing that muslim parents kicked out their daughter. Most of the time they stab the girl to death, marry her  with an older man or just keep her segregated.
Would you mind telling us more about yourself?
Sorry about your family situation :/

Your parents sound slightly better than mine. They don't want my white boyfriend to convert or to marry me, they just want him to disappear off the face of the earth Tongue

*Sigh* At least I know I'm not the only one far away hug

Naerys Oh they've given up on making him convert and that now. Tongue They now refuse to admit that they actually kicked me out and claim that they 'let me go' as I was 'obsessed' with my current boyfriend and of course it's all his influence that I've turned from Islam. It's not like I refused to read Arabic and learn Surahs or just generally show any signs of enjoying Islam before I even met him.  Roll Eyes

Yeah.. mine accused me of abandoning them and shaming their family name. Accused me of lying to them and being a horrible person. Then they cut me off from my siblings completely.

    Hi Saraa144 Smiley

    Welcome! parrot

Do you see any chance in the future for reconciliation with your family? Of course the schism is still new but what about contact with your siblings sometime in the future? Can you see that happen?

Best of luck to you Smiley
