    why aren't tafsirs considered innovations?
    Why are muslims so confident that they have attributed the correct interpretation to the quran when they insist that it describes the big bang etc? Doesn't their religion require them to be more tentative?
    Surely any attempt to elaborate on the 'challenge of the quran' is bid'ah?
