You will have to be a litle more specific and explain/elaborate on what you mean and perhaps give your position first.

I'd say more mother/father. We learn from our parents after all.

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

Its a huge subject/problem, and where do you start?
In order to start somewhere -
To me, it appears to be all about POWER.
We all learn about the values of our particular cultures at a very young age.
The male child learns that Men in Islam (as in other religions etc) hold all the POWER.
So, the power dynamic of the the mother and the male child is profoundly affected by this.

    I'd go mother/daughter.

    Why?

`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.

    I'd go mother/daughter.

I would agree with this, it is often the case that women/mothers/daughters often collude in their own oppression, if they obtain a little power in doing so, which is not available in other areas of their lives.

It's more so mother/husband. I'd also say it also has more to do with the way the mother views herself, and the principles she teaches to her son. So mother/husband and the son learns from the relationship between his parents and how his mother views herself and what she teaches her son.

The environment has a part as well. If misogyny is rampant within the society the son lives in then he may be peer pressured to become a misogynist.
