    It literally means my lord or my master. Linguistically it can be used to refer to God or to refer to a human in almost the exact same way we would use the phrase in English.

    About a week before Ramadan I made my own wine (it's about the easiest alcohol you can brew) and I occasionally had some of it. It was in this red container where you can't see what's in it. So my mother decided to go into my room today and she thought it was just juice. I was on thin razor blades. She didn't open it, thank The Lord, so I had to dispose it quickly before she tried to open it and smell the gloriously strong alcohol. I am still heartbroken Cry

    I used to shave my head, but since I decided to let my hair grow I look a lot younger than I am as well/ Family trait from my grandmother's side. Don't knock it love, it'll serve you well in the future.

    True, I can run faster than most of my taller friends and shorter people tend to live longer on average because of stronger hearts do to a shorter cardiovascular blood circuit.

    I can't go long distance but I'm an incredibly fast sprinter. Which surprises people considering my size. Not fat, but very broad.

    I am completely the opposite, I can run 6 consecutive miles (1609 meters is a mile) at the pace of 7 minutes a mile in 42 minutes. I tried very very hard for two years to become a sprinter but Allah didn't answer my prayer. Don't be surprised about the broad shoulder speed, most sprinters are huge compared to distince people.

    My mother thinks that sports are unfeminine and that they make less of women. She says instead of running in circles in a track I should be at home doing domestic work and reading the Quran. True female empowerment right there.

    Sports boost strength, stamina, health and overall wellbeing. So I guess I can sort of see why they'd be at odds with being a woman.  Smiley

    I'd say keep it clean but that's just pointless. I  sure if you look hard enough for icons from the Internet you can probably find one.
