     OP - June 07, 2013, 10:07 PM

I really don't know if it's just me, but after I figured I couldn't believe in Islam anymore, I slowly began realizing the amount of freedom I have now.
For example, I'd go to a restaurant and instead of directing my eyes straight to the seafood or vegetarian, I actually have the entire menu as options. It makes me so happy!

It sounds silly but here's a list of things:

    - I can wear dresses that don't trail to the floor
    - I can eat burgers, bacon, etc
    - I can stick my head out the window of a car and let my hair flow freely (I've always wanted to do that)
    - I can sing in front of an audience
    - I can actually dance at dances, parties, etc
    - I can hear things better (when I take off my hijab)
    - I don't have to stress over prayer times, whether I have wudhu, or whether I prayed in the "correct" way

    Ahh. Freedom.

Have you got any? Please share, I'd love to read them.

    I love this post too!!!

It's a shame that if you mention this to muslims, they think that freedom is a reason for de-conversion.

Best post since the beginning of June Tongue

The feeling you get when you can order a Turkey, Bacon and Ham Subway Sandwich instead of the usual Tuna sub is exquisite.

greetings and my good wishes to you Kingsaab..

King_sahab, if its meat   comes out from  Islamic slaughter,  Turkey meat halal meat ..

Only the Animals that have been clearly and explicitly prohibited  in the Qur'an or Sunnah are without doubt Haram, such as a swine, donkey, etc.  Off course Animals that are born and live in water are all Haram with the exception of fish.

    anyways welcome to CEMB

Kutta, it is a shame. But Muslims impose all these rules on themselves without realizing they don't even make sense.

    Kingsaab, haha, I'm flattered.

Yeezevee, the turkey at Subway is most definitely not halal.

Anyway, I thought of another one. I am free to date anyone I please.

Freedom is a reason for de-conversion.

Believe those who are seeking the truth. Doubt those who find it.

^ What Minimow said. If any muslim said that, they'd be exposing Islam for the restrictive, controlling religion it is.

Sorry, I know. By reason, I meant a reason which makes the religion true/untrue.
