    Hey everyone,
    Just thought I'd introduce myself!

I was born to Muslim family and I always had loads of questions even at a young age, especially regarding hijab and women's rights. I remember my father even telling me once that women are "deficient in religion because they menstruate and become emotional". Imagine my surprise when I discovered it was an actual hadith!

Anyway, to cut it short, I am agnostic now but still wearing hijab. I hate wearing it so much. I plan on removing it this summer.

I've already told my mother (my father isn't here anymore) and although she was upset, she told me she'd love me no matter what, and I'm really lucky that she feels that way.

    So... yeah. That's me.

    Hey welcome to the forum!
This place is great as you can relate your circumstances to many others here! And its great your mother still loves you as others have parents that would disown for such blasphemy :p
