    Hey,

Have just joined the foums. I'm not an ex-Muslim, I'm an atheist leftist and have recently been blogging on issues relating to Islam and secularism and the West. My latest blog deals with the quarrel over the burqa and takes issue with the opinions of 3 writers on the progressive left with whom I am usually in full agreement: Nick Cohen, Kenan Malik and Norm Geras.

    jacobinism.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/blinkered-vision.html (Can't post a working link)

If you think this adds to the debate over the subject, do feel free to tweet, forward and circulate to those you think may be interested. By all means add a disclaimer if you disagree.

I would of course be very interested to hear feedback, especially from those who have personal experience of this issue or from anyone with any info on the proportions of those who are coerced into covering vs those who adopt dress codes freely.

    Thanks for your time. Smiley

That's an impressive list. Why don't you share the link in the comment thread below the blog? Other readers outside these forums might find it interesting.
