Just cut the spacing a bit as a quick fix.

Might drop some of the buttons that are hardly ever used. I don't think anyone uses the table or list buttons. I always find it easier to just type a list manually instead of screwing around with li tags.

I think the spacing on the smileys is not too bad, but yes having those and the formatting buttons below the reply box would be more convenient. Then you wouldn't have to scroll past them just to write a quick reply.

What about the collapsible idea? That's not hard to arrange. I can do it if it's a bonus, but if it's not going to help I wont bother.

ETA: I can shift them to underneath easily enough. You can pretty much have whatever you want, within reason.

Clicky thing don't work? Weirdness. I'll sort the auto-loading code for phonez then.

I'm using the computer at the moment. I tried every theme, but none of them are working.

Ah. Ok, might need a bit more info. What is not working? Exactly what are you trying? I mean you're obviously posting, so something works. I'll need a bit more detail about what isn't working.

You're going to have to tell me exactly what steps you're taking. Might also help to know which browser you're using.

The changing stuffz seems to work for everyone else, so at the moment I have no idea why it's not working for you.

Yeah, the collapsible thing would be the best option. Minimal scrolling Afro

I used to change it by picking on of the theme options on the sidebar. I also tried going to my profile settings - look and layout - change current theme - pick the theme I want.... and it works. Wow. It didn't work the last time I tried, but it works now. Hehe, I'm sorry.

You have the same permissions as everyone else, so if this stuff doesn't work it really will require getting exact details.

Upper right of the site default theme (which according to your profile settings is what you are using) underneath the Facebook/Twitter/Youtube/RSS icons there should be two selects - one for layout options, and one for background styles.

These don't change it to an entirely different theme. It will still be basically white with grey header bars, etc. They just shunt the layout around to suit different screens sizes/personal preferences (in the case of the first select), or change the background behind the forum itself (ie: second one is eye candy only).

If using mouse nav, the selects should open by the usual method of clicking the arrow icon at the end of the select, then clicking on any option in the dropdown should kick off the change process.

If using keyboard nav, once focus is on the select the down arrow key should open it. Then down arrow again to go through the list, and enter for the one you want.

This is all bog standard coding and should work for 99% of browser/OS combinations. If it's not working for you, I'll need specifics.

The sidebar thingy is a bit wonky sometimes. I might recode it to make it simpler.

Just had to reset some stuff, so everyone is back on site default. Change it again in your settings if you like. Wont be doing another mass reset.

Cheesy Well I uninstalled it because it said nobody was using it.

ETA: I'm trying to reduce the amount of theme stuff I have to maintain. It has gotten over the top.
