Not a 2013 film, but I finally got around to seeing The Fall. The cinematography is absolutely wonderful, one of the most visually stunning films I've ever seen. The film it most reminds me is Pan's Labyrinth -  the films are almost incredibly similar thematically. Brilliant movie that should be watched by everyone.

Kinda looking forward to the new Thor. Not waiting on the edge of my seat but Avengers upped the expectation and I want to see if they live up to it. Just about to watch the Conjuring.

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

Footloose n fancy free, forced to fit, fated to fly. One or 2 words, 3 and 3/thirds, looking comely but lonely, till I made them homely.D

Second film by Scott Cooper, the guy who directed Crazy Heart. And that cast. Massive amount of talent. It's a recipe for Oscar wins.

I am looking forward to the new/old Godzilla. I am happy the old Godzilla look was brought back. Also I will probably see the 2nd Hobbit movie a few times as I am a huge LotR fan. I am waiting for the crowds to die down a bit before going.

Watched The Wolverine last night, anyone seen it? I really liked it, although the final act reverts to comic book cliche a bit, the first two thirds are really well done. Loads of samurai and ninja stuff and a totally entrancing Japanese side kick clairvoyant kick-ass chick called Yukio.

I was so disappointed with the ending, what was with that? Ugh. And there I was looking forward to the Silver Samurai. No clue why they turned it into a giant killer robosuit. Although it was a surprise at the end when Xavier and Magneto show up. Mostly Xavier what with him supposed to have been obliterated. Still, fun little tie-in to Days of Future Past.

Unforgiven (Yurusarezaru Mono), a Japanese remake of the Clint Eastwood film is worth checking out.

It's a 19th century Western, with Hokkaido for the Wild West and the Ainu for the Injuns. It works, and makes me want to find out more about the colonisation of Hokkaido. It's not something the Japanese talk about much.

The movie itself is a kit-bash of a few of the comics put together into one story. It's not canon.

I agree, it introduces a lot of adult themes to children at an early age especially any story line dealing with Logan or Eric (Magneto).

No its based on comics by Frank Miller from the 1980s. Really well done I thought, overall.

For the movie universe it is.

Seconded. The entire theme of the X-Men is about having to live and survive in a world where prejudice and hatred is directed at you 24/7. I remember when the 90s cartoon came out, I think I was 5 when I first saw it and I always remember the impact it had on me. The first two episodes are called Night of the Sentinels, I'd recommend it. It's an wonderful way for children to be introduced to these themes and shown in a way that it's easy for a child to understand.

I practically wet myself when I saw this

    Transcendence (April 2014)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCTen3-B8GU

Starring Johnny Depp, produced by Christopher Nolan and Emma Thomas, directed by Oscar winning cinematographer Wally Pfister (Inception, Memento, The Dark Knight) in his directorial debut. I love the subject of A.I. Wonder how deep they will go with it, whether it's anything as profound as Inception. And I'm really excited to see Depp in something other than a family movie or a Tim Burton production. Can sometimes forget how fucking gifted an actor that man is.
