  • Hey Hey Hey... Its fat Albert... okay no it isn't
     OP - October 31, 2012, 12:32 AM

Hey everybody... so here is my story - as a muslim I was always confronted by eager muslims waiting to hear the story of my conversion so I will pretty much go into why I no longer want to be classified as a muslim.

I was born, in South Africa, to a catholic family and I was deeply christian, in my teenage years I church hopped hoping to find answers and in my 19th year ended up becoming a muslim. It was a strange journey difficult and easy at times. But then my mind became active and I found myself questioning religion as a whole. Why would God be so loving yet so sick and twisted? Islam preaches about how we are all subject to Gods decree and guidance. But why would God guide someone away from what is thought to be the right path? I became unhappy and I realise how much I gave up to be "happy" as a muslim. I love music, writing poetry, dancing and making art. These are talents that not every one possesses, I am a deist, I believe in God but I don't believe that God would give someone abilities to do good things and then forbid the person from using those abilities.

    And here I am.

I apologise if my introduction seems long winded.

Wishing you a welcome even if i joined myself 10 minutes ago Wink
Music, writing poetry, dancing and making art is from my experience what brings emotions from a being to another, and bring us closer to each other. These are human expression. Being an ex-muslim, i have to say that islam does not favor this unfortunately.
