  • low self esteem amongst muslims (advice)

    So I was wondering..

Most muslims seem to have low self esteem and majority of the time the people attracted to islam also have low self esteem and a lack of direction.

From the hijab to the immigrant parents..  wacko

I don't know how to put this but I was wondering how can you over come low self esteem and finally accept yourself or at least be open to try out different stuff in life  to find something that suits you & you are comfortable with.

I know the vast majority of people have low self esteem at some point or for some it's just simply never ending.

I guess I was wondering how do you overcome the fear of being stereotyped to live, look & act the way you see fit.

I'm sure we all know that most people are judgemental and the fear of abandonment keeps running in our subconcious... the fear of missing out and regret.

I'm no expert, but I can definitely help on this.

Self esteem is built through your own "moving forward", whether that's through hobbies, passions, or whatever. Have GOALS in life.

We often (and I do this as much as any human) base our esteem on the thoughts of others. That's a natural thing. But you need to fight that. Because that'll never make you happy.

At some point, when you ARE passionate, other people will feel good about you. And it'll feedback positively in your character. But in the beginning, stop, giving, a fuck.

How can you reason with someone who hasn't used reason to get there in the first place?
