^ what a fucked up thing to say to someone confused, looking for help, trying to find the best solution for everyone (including the kids, I'm sure). Not everyone expresses feelings the same way, Berbs.

surely this is sarcasm?  I mean come on now, don't tell me you actually believe this guy is genuine?  Grin

Hmm!  Fascinating ride in this thread!

On who you are, I go for one of those guys from Weymouth who went to Tower Hamlets, one of whom had an adult circumcision whilst the TV crew were following them!

But actually, as you are a Brit it sounds like a full purpose of life review is required!

Where are you from, what is your history, where are you now in your life compared with where you wanted to be earlier, where do you want to be?  What are your dreams?

Was Islam like a diversion on life's road?  Why do you seem so attracted to what feels like switching between an Islamic porn world - what did I read somewhere - that in Islamic heaven males have never ending erections, to a western one?

    Might you be gay?

Maybe you are in the wrong career - you need to be a rockstar or footballer?

Do you have an education?  Did you miss out on one?  Do you have a profession?

Hi, I dont think Im gay or in need of a career change, actually i have a great career (clue is in the username), and I love my Job. Even brothels, the only reason it gets me down is due to beign married, but as the marriage is dead in the water anyway and its no fair on any of us to stay together, I do have the option of travelling with my job but that means not seeing the kids much. Oh what a mess.

I guess I wouldn't of thought there is a purpose in life if I'm an atheist, we dont have some atheist version of wa maa khalaqtu jinna wal insaa illa liya'buduun, so I guess just doing what i want is my purpose, doing what I find fulfilling or makes me happy and not hurting others along the way, which I guess is the bit that is missing at the moment as I'm doing something horrible to my wife.

Never really had a long term vision, I have a good career, islam was a diversion that Ive learned a lot from I guess but time to move on.

I would love to see a breakdown of the analysis that lead you to the conclusion I'm not genuine. What is the basis of this accusation?

Thinking hard well why did you get married you should of not married. How long ago you became muslim? if you want to leave islam because you miss partying the go for it or you can still have fun cheating whilst still married by having affairs with the sisters. This will be better than getting seen or exposed in a brothel or nite club and get shamed in the muslim community. Afro

:'(its a sad fact there are no happy marriages in any religion nowadays. marriage are based on luck of the individuels.  I think women from male dominated countries put up alot of stick before they snap but women of the west have so much in their favour that the whole ideology of marriage is held by a weak thread. I was into prayers hard core and attended a lot of talks that made no sense. One places opinions and ideas would differ from the next and thats no unity and i felt so exhausted to keep up with prayers 5 times a day. MY time off wqrk constantly was restrictiing my progress. As soon as one prayer is over its time for the next one.

I don;t understand conversion without belief completely, though I think it;s possible. Everything else sounds realistic, even if muhandis is not trying to win a popularity contest by pretending to be likeable... I see an unhappy individual who made serious mistakes while trying to find happiness. Now that he realized that his attempts to do something right (find meaning in life through religion, marriage) lead nowhere, he is ready to give up  and give in to his addiction.

I did a vid on this recently.

IMO and IME Islam has you hooked on external validation for a sense of significance and purpose.
They convince you that God and the Quran is the only legit sources of validiation.

The scariest part about deconversion is no longer having that source of external validation and realizing you'll have to cultivate your validition internally - or you can simply look for another religion/ideology to gain external validation.

Thankfully there are many exercises and books that can help you to cultivate internal validation/self-approval. That's the basic message for the majority of self-help books.

If you're a dude and you're a bit of doormat/lack a backbone (not being cruel, I've had the issue throughout my life) then I highly, highly fucking highly recommend a book called; no more mr nice guy. I'm currently letting go of a porn addiction - that book helped me to see some underlying reasons behind it, and the issues I had with masculinity and sex.

    Hi,

I think I know who you might be. I won't say anything obviously. I personally think you should stick with Islam and stop doing these things behind your wife's back. If not for your wife, give it up for your children.

You don't have to be too hardcore with your practice..maybe getting into it too deep too soon is what has made you think of leaving Islam. I'm sure there was a good reason for you becoming muslim in the first place.

    Hi,

I think I know who you might be.

I think I know where you live. I have done terrible, disgusting things to people. It may be addictive, I think I will do it again. Is it crazy?
