Well forget about the West for a minute my question is. Regardless of political affiliation or support why isn't anything being done to stop civilians from being killed. Where is the so called United Arab States? Also the West is too broke to bother with any more military bullshit overseas. The west spends more money pumping into building facilities and infrastrarure projects, and maintaining bases in freaking Afghanistan.

That is a completely truthful statement. And I have noted, muslims are stingy people. Therefore, muslim nations are stingy nations. Stingy people only think of themselves and NEVER help others....unless someone makes them help....I know that they like to say this to excuse their self-centeredness: "it is the will of allah"....

The problem is that the Syrian war has sparked sectarianism is the MID EAST, particular in the Gulf region.
I am from Kuwait and back then it was kinda sort of taboo not to do or say anything hateful toward both sects

but now
we hear like former PM waleed al-Tabtabaee saying in the national TV calling the Shi'ite dogs!

in Saudi Arabia not only its OK to hate Shi'ite. its encouraged!!! and praised!!
The more you hate Shi'ite the more you are liked

The Syrian war is nothing more than justification for Sunni to hate the Shi'ite

if Bashar Assad was sunni
no of this drama would exist

Thanks Nero - you might feel trapped there, but your input for our (well, my) understanding is greatly valued!

The Syrian civilians are truly between a rock and a hard place 4.5 million on the run and more to follow. And winter is coming. The Red Cross/Crescent is trying to get attention but no-one is listening here.

As I've posted elsewhere the only sane persons in Syria currently seem to be the Kurds in YPG, standing their ground in their own well-known areas and fighting off both Al-Nusra (which partially seems to be financed by Turkey to fight the Kurds) and the Assad regime.

you can look at the 50k killed in Takfir terror in Pakistan for similar examples to Syria... it wont get nowhere near the same level of anger in most muslims as palestine does..

the sweeping under the carpet of muslim on muslim violence reminds me of what many in the black community do. They're really aren't that bothered with black on black violence, but make a big hoo haa over any white on black crime.
