OK, my serious answer, not just political correspondents that I fancy*, is Kathryn Bigelow, movie director and first woman to win the Oscar for best director for Hurt Locker.

Female, black, underprivilaged - the Williams sisters went on to reign supreme, dominating women's tennis, changing the face of the sport and being all-round brilliant role models on and off the court with an incredible rags to riches story, incredible souls, incredible beauty inside and out.

Maybe not mine, not either of them.

Although I'd have to say, I respect my step mother for working hard to financially support 3 children who weren't even her own. She may have dressed us in rags but she dressed us, and she may have forced us to eat food we never liked (something she never did with her own kids) but thanks to that I'm pretty open to tasting most food once. And maybe is she hadn't tried to squish me so much as a child I wouldn't be the rebellious person that I am now.

So for that, thanks *****, you helped make me some of the things I am today, and not all of those things are bad.

I love the story of Kahina. I seriously still want to write a historical fiction novel about her. Her legend still needs to be more widely known.
