Sure, I googled this for you. http://www.wikihow.com/Start-a-Religion

    Best of luck!  Tongue

I had an Algerian teacher once who was my Science teacher, and was an ex-muslim.

It must be warm where you are. It's frigid cold here. GAH! I hate Canada's climate. :(

Thanks! And, regarding the Algerian teacher -- that's awesome!

And yes, it's pretty warm, by Canadian standards Tongue Speaking of Canada, I've applied to McGill, so I might be moving to Montréal next year!

lol or just very very lucky to for seeing the light so early on.

Not sure if it's a good thing, though. I feel imprisoned in my home and country as an ex-Muslim. I'm pretty glad I apostatized relatively recently (last year.)

yeh I was pretty young when it happened too and you are right the waiting does suck (6 years here and still counting), but still its better to be very young rather than older with years and years wasted in islam..

It would be awesome if we both get into McGill. We could be ex-muslim buddies!  Tongue

I hope you get out though. I'm sure you'll be driven insane if you continue to live there. You seem like a smart lad, and I'm sure you'll find your way to escape. Or, maybe you can start some kind of revolution over there?

How old were you? I was around 12-14 when it happened. The doubting started at 12, but I kept on saying astaghfirullah and I'd continue to pray to Allah so that I would stop questioning. Of course, as you can see, it failed.

well officially 14 when I was completely sure, but I had always had doubts and had stopped praying at around 8-9 years old because of lazyness and repeating the same shit day over day was complete bullshit...  thing is I like you had guilt and fear for having doubts but whats the point of saying astaghfirullah when I didnt mean it? allah can see through me so whats the point, was kinda my mindset back then..

Well, to be honest. I never prayed five times. I would just play fajr and asr, because I was lazy and it this two prayers were just four rakats. However, I was really religious and I'd cry when I'd hear the tafseer (even though I didn't know arabic), and I'd watch all these islamic documentaries. What made me an apostate was because of me deeply searching into the depths of Islam, and then I found so many contradictions that I couldn't fool myself into being a Muslim anymore. Astaghfirullah wasn't working anymore.  Tongue

LOL. Harakaat doesn't even know how I look. What if I'm a 400 pound beast?  Tongue

Or, maybe he digs big chicks! Wink I hear arab men do.

I'm a humanist who is also a misanthropist, and I tell you I have a very contradictory personality. I sometimes think I have a personality disorder. I don't know, but I find myself competing with God. He seems to favour evil, whilst I strive to bring love and harmony to those around me. I used to believe God would help humanity, but now that I see he's laying back and who knows checking out his angels I'm going to try to take the role he should be playing. It's stupid, but I can't handle the suffering of humanity, but at the same time I hold this deep pit of hatred towards them because of their stupidity.

I'm in Toronto right now. It's an ugly city. I'm interested in linguistics as well, but then I'm interested in the humanities and social sciences in general. Smiley

LOL. I've forgotten how to pray, and I've even forgotten many things I had once learned about Islam. It's been around three or four years since I last opened the Quran or an Islamic book.

Yeah, that was a picture of myself, but I decided to change it into this one. Who knows, I may end up in a magazine cover for being an apostate of Islam (okay that's a bit far-fetched)? XD

Hey welcome chocolate lover.. Have another welcome parrot  parrot

The best proof against islam is quran itself. You read first surah, it looks like god is all merciful and what not. From surah 2 onwards, you will notice that it is extremely manipulative book. It constantly threat again and again about the tortures that merciful allah will give for just not beliving in him, and the rest of the quran is full of us verses them hatred. It is full of so much hate against kafir, jews and christians that any sane mind who did meet people other than muslims will really get stunned. This allah really is a sadist and ego-maniac.

Yeah, it’s one of the main reasons of why I’ve left Islam as well. I feel like Allah has a very huge ego, and I don’t understand why he created us for his worship. When asked, Muslims do not have the answer for that, and in fact their answer goes along the lines of, “God doesn’t need us and we need him. That’s why we worship him.” Therefore, if God doesn’t need us to worship him, then why are we sent to hell if we skip a prayer?

    Such idiocy. -.-

Thanks, I've been creeping this forum for a while, so I'm sure I'll have a good time. Yeah, I'm very lucky to not have been saved from the torture that many ex-muslims have suffered from because of their families. Thanks for the rabbit.
