far away hug  Were you pretty close?

yes.  VERY close.  He was an amazing man!  He wasn't perfect, but
he was one of the best human beings Ive ever known.  Bascially raised
six kids by himself, as well as working to support us, as my mother was
a worthless piece of shit, who was too busy being a socialite with her
jet set friends.  Which really, we rathered she stay away from home
as much as possible. She put my dad through several lifetimes of hell.

He's no friend to the friendless
And he's the mother of grief
    There's only sorrow for tomorrow
    Surely life is too brief
